Ya the cars were a big surprise, but it makes sense considering its, what, like 75 years later? I mean the fire nation did have air machines and now the entire world is united, sort of, so it makes sense that their technology has accelerated since uniting.

As for the back ally/ crime riddled streets, its an interesting concept for Avatar. Its truly a meld of the original avatar world and modern life, certainly a surprise but a decent change from all the low-tech cities in the original story. Overall, I say it was pretty good, at least a 3.5/5, but it was lacking in some areas.

There were some instances that seemed stupid or a little non-avatarish, apart from the technology obviously, but one of the biggest ones for me was Korra's big stupid smile she had on her face while stowed away on the ship.... idk it just seemed way out of place and weird.

But anyhoo, I'm very excited for this and have only watched one episode so far. They have already done a lot of teasing, mostly about Aang, Saka and Zuko's mother. It would fantastic to hear Zuko and his mom's final story and I think its a must to see flashbacks of Aang eventually. I'm gonna scope it out for a while and then turn it loose on some friends once I know it'll get its hooks in them :):D:rolleyes:

Freaking awesome.

Original will always be better, but Korra is it's own awesomeness on par with it so far. I can't wait until flashbacks and more bending tournaments! Mako, Korra, and Bolin rule!

Oh boy, I LOVED the Avatar series! I am super hyped for Legend of Korra. Toph was my favorite character and I hope they have an opportunity to explain more about what happened to her after the events of the first series.

They ruined the show once they made a girl the Avatar
Why? Because girls in Avatar kick ass and not cry all the time? Because their extremely useful and actually powerful because the creators are smart and give all characters screentime/abilities/usefullness?

I love Aang to death, but her being it makes sense. It's a new time, a new Avatar, a new story. We saw the funny good Aang and now we have the badass Korra.

We'll see more of the others via Flashback aswell as in the comic The Promise, which takes place inbetween TLA and Korra where it takes place a year after the war is over. It's the Aang Gaang in full action again!

I really REALLY enjoyed the first two episodes! I found the idea of the new environment that the Avatar has been thrown in is very interesting. I am looking forward to the coming series and hope it gets as (if not more) popular that the original series (which was absolutely mega anyway).

Most don't know about it xd

Avatar was made into comics during the show's airing. They were the books aka seasons in comic form, aswell as special stories.

The Promise was made this year. It's a story about after the war. Only one volumeor Part 1 out of ??? is out so far and it's so many pages of sickness. I loved it. I can't wait for the second to come out.

TLA=Avatar: The Last Airbender
