Gaara managed to beat 4th Kazekage,2nd Mizukage and is fighting Madara...he's enough to take out the three of them and then some.

Ah,in which case I change my answer to Gaara's team.
Gaara was leagues ahead of the rest at that stage. Rock Lee only managed to cause so much damage due to a life risking Technique which is also a forbidden technique. Neji against Gaara is pointless and tenten is also utterly useless against Gaara.
Add to that Temari's wind Jutsu and Kankuro's puppets,it's overkill.
Gaara was OP but he wasnt unbeatable . Rock Lee could easily uses five gates on him again with the assistants of Neji that should be enough. I dont see Kankuro or Temari being that effective in this fight.
Well , Tailed Beast I dont think matters because Gaara has to be a sleep in order to turn or trapped.
Well, I guess you havent seen Rock Lee vs Gaara because Rock Lee was a big problem for Gaara.
Also, Neji or Rock Lee could take Temari /Kankuro out easily. Ten Ten isnt that useless support attacks long range while they break down his defense.

I also rate Gaara as much stronger than Naruto at this stage and Naruto beats Neji...I know that Naruto,Sasuke & Kyuubi manage to take Gaara later but Naruto did have some help from Gamabunta.

idk if you remember the big freaking sand ball that gaara hides in..but the only one piercing it is Neji if he can even get close to it without his sand or his siblings protecting him.. soo BAM!
Naruto was stronger than Gaara , he learned how to use the fox chakra.Also your forgetting Naruto need Gamabunta because he turned into his tailed beast.
Also, dude it not a 1v1 scenario team fight xd. I doubt Neji or Rock Lee would let Ten Ten fight front line. It probably would be Neji and Rock Lee vs Gaara+Kankuro+Temari. Seems too me you overrate Kankuro+Temari.
True I think Neji would find a weakness with his Byakugan.I dont think Neji would even let that happen . :flaw:

Those three ninja have advanced faster than any of the other ninja in the series. Basically the sand ninja are stronger than the Konoha ninja in general.
I've shown you that Temari>Tenten,Gaara>Lee and that Kankuro and Neji are probably close. But the sand still have a huge advantage.

It true that Temari>TenTen Gaara>Lee but dude those are all 1v1 situation this would be a team battle. And I highly doubt Kankuro is equal too Neji.

Okay,excluding Naruto & Sasuke,which Konoha Shinobi would you rate higher than Gaara?Temari?& Kankuro? From the same age group of course.
Well , none of the other are stronger than Gaara. But more of them are stronger than Kankuro & Temari.
Shino>Kankuro+Temari
Kiba>Kankuro+Temari
Neji>Kankuro+Temari
Rock Lee> Kankuro+Temari
Choji> Kankuro+Temari
Hinata>Kankuro+Temari
Shikamaru >Temari
Only person that could probably defeat Gaara is Rock Lee if he can open 8 gates.
