genjutsu does not work on kabuto because its something special about kabuto eyes and we are finally about to see whats so special about his red eyes and with his new power from oro he can use them a lot better. so that means he can't die because they can't force him to cancel edo tensei; thats why he told tobi about how to stop edo because he knew it was nothing tobi could do to stop him or the edo tensei

Whilst I disagree with your explanation I actually agree with your overall theme. I to think that Kabuto is immune to genjutsu (but not itachi's tsukiyomi, or shisui's one). This is based on the fact that Orochimaru's chakra is constantly trying to take over Kabuto's body and therefore is constantly disrupting it, which would cancel a genjutsu.

Its very likely that kabuto has learnt from oro and with this has gained 'immunity' from sharigan genjutsu no different to what deidora did. There is one massive flaw though, tsukuyomi wouldve mind raped deidora

Do remember when kabuto eyes turn red and he was like let me stop before i turn back in to the old me, what the hell was the old him and what can he do with the power now, no there is something special about kabuto like naruto and sasuke. they might not be able to beat him anyways, we all assume that kabuto is out of edo tensi it is reading no where that says that , hell if danzo and jiraiya pop i'm not going to be shock but i'm sure kabuto was smart enough to have body gaurds in case he need them, hell kisame could pop at this point who knows but i know its not as easy as everyone making it out to be as if itach could just beat him down in like five seconds, kabuto will hold his own, hell he was trained by orochimaru

yeah i'm sure he will just summoning madara back to beat the crap out of itachi and sasuke, what a fight that will be, but itachi should be able to seal madar with the sword but i don't he can get that close to madara for it to work

killing him won't stop endo tensi but it will stop kabuto from calling any more monster from the past

The reason why he's laughing is because even if Itachi gets him in genjutsu, he won't be able to cancel out the Edo Tensei. Itachi needs to know the hand-seals to undo Edo Tensei for him to actually make Kabuto undo it.

Kabuto told Tobi how to undo his Edo Tensei. Tobi has to catch him in a genjutsu but he would also have to know the hand-seals that Tobi would have to make him perform (which I believe he also told him).

Itachi doesn't know the hand-seals for Edo Tensei so if he gets Kabuto in genjutsu, he won't be able to undo it.

Itachi hoped to undo Edo Tensei by killing Kabuto. He just figured out that if he kills him, then Edo Tensei will be permanent so they'll have to personally seal the Edo's themselves. So Kabuto let out a laugh since Itachi doesn't want to kill him and doesn't know the hand-seals either.

Kabuto is laughing because Sasuke appeared, he is only in the war to get Sasuke. Isn't it obvious? The snake looks at sasuke and kabuto can see through it's eyes so he see's sasuke.

i think minato was just to powerful for just regular sharingan to work on him, you might have to use mangekyō sharingan in order to use tsukuyomi. konan was just weak thats why the sharigan got her, well not weak but not the four hokage either
