[Spoilers] Unconfirmed "Yatagarasu Mode?"

So one of the earlier spoilers conveys Itachi using a heightened form for the next chapter's cliffhanger in which he took on some angelic and avian qualities, and thus more obviously resembled the myth that his character is based on: Yatagarasu, the symbol of divine intervention, and "the raven of hell." I was wondering how the forum would feel about this were it true? The last line reminded me of Ulquiorra.

Well it would make Itachi even more awesome, but I don't feel it is necessary.

Did he suddenly forget that he is the greatest genjutsu user in the manga? Why is he not putting Kabuto into a genjutsu as of right now?

Even without knowing how to end IWR, he should figure that putting Kabuto into a genjutsu would be the smart move.

being good at all fields is better than being the best in one and one field only. he already took the genjutsu to highest degree but it won't be enough in some occasions. that's why he needs to get better.

Well he is already the best or near the best in all areas. He is one of the fastest characters, one of the smartest, has the best genjutsu hands down, and has crazy powerful ninjutsu.

But I was purely talking about the battle between Kabuto and Itachi. Why would he need a new mode when genjutsu is what this situation requires?

Im actually sceptical about this mode. From what ive seen people who have revealed modes have lost. Example is oro's true form, jiraiya and sm, kisame. I also believe itachi can win this in base, due to his skill and intellect but this is kishi's fault. He is totally disregarding what makes an elite ninja which is skill and intelligence and is overpowering everybody. I mean look at madara, tobi, naruto, ems sasuke.

Yeah I think Kishi is going to troll the hell out of Itachi. The only time Itachi shows his real strength (apparently minus genjutsu, stupid Kishi) and he loses the only battle he has actually lost.

Actually beginning to think he'd lose to plot no jutsu even in his strongest form if he does indeed have this mode, no different to how healthy nagato lost. Something tells me that it would be kabuto + sasuke vs itachi. Sounds crazy but ive this feeling

Dude if this happened i would probably scream like a little girl followed by fainting. I agree that he doesnt really need a new form but i've always been a fan of raven and crow characters in movies, cartoons, etc so if something like this happened i'd probably crap myself.

Jiraiya has frog summonings and with this sm gives him frog characteristics.
Oro has snake summonings and with this he has a snake form in his mode.
Same with kisame

Therefore itachi having crow summonings might be something like the tengu

I also thought that Sasuke would not be teaming up with Itachi as I did not see how he could play the villain and help the good guys at the same time.

Yeah i agree with most of the people on here, it does kind of feel like itachi is gonna get trolled by kishi. I dont see him winning either, i mean whats he gonna do after he wins just chill and hang out? (someone should make a thread to see how many people think itachi will get trolled and why)
