Have you ever heard of "you won the battle, but not the war"? Its true that minato spoiled tobi's plans to destroy the entire village, but guess what? He lived to fight another day. That cant be said about minato. Its because of tobi that he died that night. Its because he was successful in pulling out kurama from kushina, like you said, that lead to minatos death.

Yes I have heard that saying but regardless of what you say Tobi still got defeated that night failed plan=defeat plain and simple it makes no difference at all that Minato died your statement implied that Minato did not defeat Tobi. But you are wrong foiling someone's plan and forcing them to retreat is exactly the same as being defeated, as I said you don't have to kill someone to defeat them and with what you said about fighting another day that would be a whole new battle not the same one. So in short Minato did defeat Tobi that night only difference is that Tobi can try again also Minato had planned ahead before he died which means in effect his plan is still ongoing through Naruto everything he did before he died was because he new Tobi would be back so at this point in time Naruto is Minato'a plan.

A bit unfair but you have a great point. Sasuke hasn't really beat anyone in part two

• Sasuke VS Oro - Oro was on his death bed and could barely move
• Sasuke vs Deidara - Deidara killed himself
• Sasuke vs Killer Bee - Bee tricked him
• Sasuke vs Itachi - Itachi let him win and wanted Sasuke to kill him
• Sasuke vs 5 kages - Needed Tobi to come to his rescue
• Sasuke vs Danzo - Danzo also killed himself

Just goes to show, he isn't really that great. This is out to all those Sasuke Fanboys

That doenst change the fact that her very powerful shinobi. Even with MS he was Kage level. Besides, Deidara and Danzo were forced to use those suicidal techniques becuase they were defeated in combat. Sasuke is alive, they are dead, they lost those battles.

Actually Danzou did it because he knew he was going to lose, and he didn't want Madara to get Shisui's eye. Deidara did it because he was to kill Sasuke at all costs.
Back to the Danzou part; Madara was using Sasuke (And still is) to get what he wants. Sasuke is allowing it (Whether he realizes it or not, that's a different story, but only adds to my point). That doesn't look to good on Sasuke.
Deidara could have lived to fight another day, but he chose to attempt to finish the job.
Not disagreeing. Just pointing out some important facts.

I do disagree about Sasuke being Kage level, because Kage level isn't just about strength. You've got to have your wits about you. Sasuke clearly does not. He's got a pretty good brain, but he won't be Kage level till he starts using it again.

Using it again? Even in his most recent battle against Danzo he came up with very good strategy. Sasuke never stopped to use his brain, hes just not forced to outsmart his enemies when hes fighting fodders like Zetsu.

You have to use your brain to make smart decisions in battle, and outside of it. Sasuke has not been able to do that for some time. I could get into that if you really want.. But I shouldn't have too.

Being a "Shinobi" isn't about just strength, and battle smarts. You're wrong to think that. He might have been able to fend off Kage Level opponents, be he is not Kage level yet, for the points I already made.

I dont think you understand what ive been saying. Ive said before that tobi lost in the battle of speed. BUT,like i told cyanide addiction, its because of the chain of events that tobi started that lead to minatos death. Hence, minato won the battle, but not the war.
