so a foolish person is someone who doesn't follow common sense etc. he does foolish things like. um I don't actually remember the last time he did a foolish thing really, ok he did just "drop" the frog statue, which is kind of foolish if you think about it like that, but other than that there aren't very many times where naruto has been shown as a fool.

as ive been sayong since chptr 420 pains secret weakness is himself. he can take control of different bodies. kinda like shadow possesion jutsu or mind transfer jutsu. thouh these wont be strong enuf these jutsus will help a bunch... what if in the end the sage of six paths comes and saves the day? wunt that be cool!? :naruto:

Naruto is partially a genius at "HARD WORK", that doesn't by any means make him a intellectual. If he was an Intellectual he would be more like Shikamaru. Kakashi is an Intellectual so is Neji, Naruto is not.

Naruto is by no means Intelligent in that since of the word, or he would not be known as the #1 knucklehead, Surprising Ninja. Nobody expects him to do the the surprising things he does because how slow he is, Hints "Surprising Ninja". If everyone thought of him as an intellectual genius that wouldn't be much of a surprise now would it?

your argument goes nowhere, Kisi himself based Naruto off of Goku who was no genius or intellectual. He has heart, determination, and the power to change his fate, and he knows it all by instinct.

Ok he is pretty emotional, and isn't like shikimaru(and other members of the nara clan) but I would like to point out that pretty much Almost everysingle other character, from kiba, to neji, to konohamaru, to sasuke, to pain, to Rock lee are exactly like naruto in this case. If anything people like pain and sasuke are even less rational then naruto.

Naruto became known as a knucklehead because he did stuff like painting on the Hokage's faces and not necessarily doing well in the academy. he is a surprising ninja because he outsmarts the opponent(in a similar way to Shikimaru, although not necessarily as good as Shikimaru) with awesome plans. He learns extremely fast(hard work helps, but it also requires intelligence which Naruto has) Also Neji was only called a genius because he could see through objects, not because of his mind power.

Neji, Pein, and Sasuke, are all way smarter than Naruto, but they lack the basic foundation of a real Ninja and that is to endure it all(not to say they wont learn it eventually). Neji was taught a lesson after getting beat by naruto, and sooner or later so will Pein and Sasuke.

Oh, than why did naruto OUTSMART neji in the chuunin exams?
If you read the definition of "intellectual" you would realize that Sasuke and pain are irrational, ruled by their emotions, are not shikimaru or other members cause they don't like playing games that test their intelligence.

Not only that, but naruto could like make shadow clones, and make them take the place of ma and pa frogs. the clones would be just as effective for focusing because they could not move when the real body was moving, and they could move when the real body was not moving. and because it is his own chakra it might not get rejected. and to reduce the clumsiness of the shadow clones, he could have them use henge to transform into miniature frogs. But going by the last chapter I don't think this will happen sadly(my theory). so it is probably going to be either yours, or some other variation of using a shadow clone to make it work that we haven't thought of yet , or with just hard work(he creates 2000 shadow clones who practice taking in natural energy for a day, the practice holding that energy while moving for a day, then when he's done Voila he has completely mastered it.

It also enforces my thought that naruto is a genius, because he would have to be one inorder to come up with creating a shadow clone to be able to use the jutsu.

sexy jutsu wont be enough to take pain and konohamaru knows that...that must me one of narutos jutsus...he uses shadow clones and rasengan most of the time.konos teqnique will be one of that two.thats for sure

How do you know, We have never seen konohamaru develop. I think that is what makes everyone say that he is weak. but he is actually quite strong and awesome, I mean he was influenced by naruto to work as hard as he can when he was young, and unlike naruto, Konohamaru has had a specialized jounin teacher teach him since he was young, so konohamaru could actually be alot stronger than naruto was when naruto was in that age, and alot more skilled.

They are very good strategists, but I wouldn't call them "intellectual". Sakura and Sai are intellectual, they are interested in gaining knowledge on something else than fighting.

exactly. I personally think that shikamaru basing it on strategy, and always focusing on japanese chess sort of does help a bit into making him an intellectual, but yes it is mostly Sakura and Sai. Orochimaru was also sort of an Intellectual

thats cause shikimaru was lazy back then and never saw himself being better than average.

and if i may put my two cents worth in... i think that u guys are confusing knowledge and wisdom.

Also every character in the series is intelligent in their own way like naruto he found a way to make the Rasenshuriken and Kakashi found away to activate his MS without killing anyone. Neji figure out how to use Eight Trigram Palms Heavenly Spin and Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms which are only taught to the main branch.
