While this does make somewhat sense... You can not use a<b, b<c, so a<c type argument as a valid statement... Just look at the primary starter pokemon
Plus Chiyo did the majority and she was a sand elder
Need I remind some of you that Sakura WITHOUT Chiyo's aid managed to react and avoid iron sand on more than one occasion? Now imagine, not only is Gai much faster than Sakura in base....when he uses the gates Sasori will be like WTF
Sasori's only chance is if he manages to get a lucky hit with his poison, if Gai uses 6+gates plus Sasori is a dead man. Gai can blitz him at any given time with his gates.
To put it simply, Gai beats this joker.

Gai has this, at least I think that. With Gai's speed and power breaking those puppets should be easy, plus getting hit would be near impossible. All he needs to do is open the 4th gate right away.
If he gets hit once though he dies right away. B/c the the gates increases blood flow

What Sasori has, guy should be able to evade it with speed. but I doubt he's as smart as Sasori. It could go either way depends on how well guy react to the situation. I'd voted for gai though
This is flawed logic, first off it's not a big accomplishment to avoid the iron sand, as that attack wasn't known for its speed,
second sakura had three, THREE... antidotes, and her and chiyo both needed at least one!
third, with 100 puppet technique it is possible to surround guy with such a range of puppets, he's trapped then there is nowhere to run, no matter how fast.
Sasori is an S class ninja that took out the Third Kazekage, and you don't think he could hit Guy once?

People saying Gai have no idea what they are saying.
Gai is a close combat type and his only defence is his speed especially in gates. Sasori's weapons have been cleverly engineered to even surprise to smarter of opponents. Gai isnt winning this.
If he gets past the scorpion form without being poisened he is lucky. Needless to say he isnt getting past the 3rd kazekage. He might get past it in gates, but we all know the effects of the gates on gai. He might still have enough energy in gates to defeat the 3rd kazekage and even destroy a few of sasori's 200+ puppets. Once his gates is finished he is done for.

The OP didn't specify knowledge so I asumed full knowledge for both characters. Sasori defeated the third Kazekage off panel, we have no idea about the circumstances. Futhermore, there is nothing to suggest Gai couldn;t do the same.
When did I say Iron sand was known for its speed? I'm just saying Gai can react to it with ease, especially with gates. Sakura and Chiyo had antidotes, ok?
You do realise Sasori is superior to either of them, so managing to land blows on them eventually is nothing to sing home about.
Gai is FAR above Sakura/Chiyo's level, hitting someone of his calibre will be difficult.
And you asume Sasori starts the fight with his puppets summoned? You do realise he might be blitzed before that even happens. Futhermore, Gai can destroy and react to the puppets.
Don't underestimate the gates.
The final gate was said to surpass the power of the hokages by Kakashi. Kakashi's sensei was Minato, so that's huge hype right there. 7 and 6 aint too far below 8, and we've seen Kakashi and Gai duke it out with V2 Jins who posessed sharingan and rinnegan.
Gai takes this fight more often than not.
First off sasori is wayyyy smarter so I'm sure he could, trick/surprise Guy enough to hit him once
That being said, you say the FINAL gate (which we haven't seen guy use, and that he also dies from... so it'd be a tie anyway) brings someone to equal or higher power than a kage...
Yet Sasori killed the third kazeKAGE and uses him as a puppet.
You also say that Sasori isn't going to start off with all puppets.. well guy isn't going to start off in gates (he never does)

I think guy will win. I think that cause guy will most likely smash his first puppet form with like the fourth gate open. Then he'll force him to use his 1000 puppets thing with his 5th or 6th gate, and then he'll try to use morning peacock to destroy the puppets, but if that doesn't work he'll use hirudora which will destroy the 1000 puppets and sasori

I really dont see Guy avoiding getting poisoned, so imma say Sasori. In gates he has a chance but thats never his first option & by the time he decides to do it itll be over
