Right, this is a kind of follow on theory from the one I made before. If you'd like to read it to get abit of background info then click
Creation of all things
'The process he (So6P) used is explained to have initially involved the administration of imagination, and the spiritual energy which forms the basis of Yin chakra to create shape and form from nothingness. Then, through the application of vitality, and the physical energy which forms the basis of Yang chakra, he would breathe life into the prior form.'
Anyway, we also know that the sage used this ability to split the Juubi into nine tailed beasts. It is also said that the technique Izanagi is based on this technique. Of course we know this is a watered down version of the technique we call "Creation of all Things" as so far Tobi and Danzou only used it to respawn and materialize a fodder futon.
In exchange for the brief control of reality that it allows them, the Sharingan with which Izanagi is cast becomes blind. Creation of all things doesn't seem to have this major drawback.
The So6P, however, could use Creation of all things to create form and life itself (the most powerful beings in Narutoverse). His technique went beyond his personal reality. Possibly he was able to destroy too with it.
Now, why is this important?
I becuase its telling us something: In Narutoverse both reality and the world of illusion are as real as the other, the issue being that both worlds are separated and you need a technique to connect the worlds.
Now, remember where is Orochimaru sealed?
Itachi sealed his soul via the sword of Totsuka.
In an acutal world made of imagination, that is inside the pot. In other words he is sealed in one of the worlds that are both real but separated.
And what is Kabuto's goal?
The scan says "Learn the secret of the Sage of Six Paths" however this is an incorrect translation made by the translators so that it would look more "poetic".
It actually says "I will unlock the mind of Rikudou Sennin", which we can understand as Kabuto wanting to learn the secrets hidden in the So6p's mind. This is a major contrast to Tobi who wants to gather the Bijuu to complete project Tsuki No Me. Kabuto is interesting in "unlocking his mind" - what could the mind of RS contain that could interest Kabuto?
Logically, we can assume that there must be a connection between what Kabuto has said about learning the secrets and 'that jutsu' - 'that jutsu' being creation of all things and the secrets being those of the SO6P. By having Edo Tensei and Creation of all things, Kabuto would be invincible - just as he claimed.
Well, we know that the So6P was able to cast Creation of all Things (perfect Izanagi) without losing any of his eyes and could use it to "create many things". So far, no shinobi has been able to learn the secrets of this jutsu. What if, what is needed to use the technique, is actually to learn and understand the connection between both the imaginary world and the real world?
Orochimaru has been inside said world for a lengthy period of time, and if Kabuto somehow has been able to gain Orochimaru's perspective of said world or somehow is able to keep communicating with it, perhaps this is what Kabuto is after. The ability to crossover imagination and reality by attaining perfect knowledgement of both worlds. Remember, although Orochimaru's soul was sealed, it was not completely sealed, as we saw one snake escape and was only killed by Amaterasu:
I think Kishi purposedly showed us this. Has Kabuto somehow found a connection between part of Orochimaru's soul which remains unsealed and the part which is fully sealed?
This would explain Kabuto's apparent lack of worry to everything. The way he has been dealing with Tobi, Sasuke and explicitily by saying how Sharingan genjutsu can end Edo Tensei. This leads me to believe Kabuto may indeed WANT to be genjutsued by an Uchiha.
Don't forget Orochimaru's obsession with the Uchiha and gaining their power; I believe he and Kabuto also did prior research into unlocking the Sage's abilities;
This would explain why he hasnt taken any measures for Itachi, despite knowing that he could easily relocate Madara to protect himself etc. He knows that Itachi is on his way.
Maybe Kabuto needs somehow to be inside a Sharingan genjutsu to access this imaginary world. He may also need said Uchiha to force him to perform the Edo canceling seals to be able to "Unlock the mind of Rikudou" and thus learn how to connect both imaignation and reality. If this theory if true edo tensei would only be a bluff to achieve his plan.
In this way Itachi would in theory succeed in ending Edo tensei, but as well also commit a horrific mistake by taking Kabuto to he next level. Do you honestly think Kabuto has any intention of helping Tobi achieve his plan?
Kabuto has access to both Senju and Uchiha DNA in order to perform the technique and now I believe he just needs the power of the Uchiha genjutsu to complete his plan. I also think this is why he wants Sasuke in return for helping Tobi. He has plans, big plans.
