I think it was an okay chapter, though there wasn't much action but it did provide hint and information on how characters in the leaf village are evolving.

Many of you fail to see what Kishi is really trying to get across here. Kishi shows that though the Leaf village faces enemies who's stronger than them but they'll face them dead on knowing that they are weaker, yet, they still stand up for themselves and others. And that, it was Naruto that change whoever meets or interact with him, like Konohamaru & Ebisu, made them see hope in a hopeless situation. The Leaf village fights with the "will of fire." ....I hope you understand what i'm saying...haha. It also shows how Konohamaru action's rub off of Naruto's, who is stand up/protecting his sensei just like Naruto.

Also, Konohamaru probably learned the Mass Shadow Clone Jutsu. After all, it is Naruto's most useful and tactical jutsu. IONO, if you all remember but Naruto uses it whenever he's in a tram like to protect his teacher (Ikuri or something...I forgot his name), against Gaara (Naruto's Chronicle), against the guy with the BONES TECHNIQUES, and so on. So, most like it would be that technique. And Let's not underestimate the technique, it is after all a forbidden technique. Please don't underestimate Konohamaru too, he's the 3rd's grandson after all....plus we haven't learn much about him besides that he's much like Naruto, if you remember all those episodes that he's in.

-Go to the pages where Pein uses his technique on the 2 Konoha shinobi. Doesn't that remind you of THE THIRD's forbidden jutsu he uses on Oroch. towards the end of the fight. The two jutsu seems similar in ways, like the grabbings of SOULS and then it gets eaten up or cutting it. I just wanted to point that out, iono, if you all notice that.

No Konohamaru didn't learn mass shadow clone technique. The reason? He simply can't do it. Naruto is the only one who can do that technique becuase he has so much chakra. Konohamaru dosen't have nearly the mastery of shadow clones like naruto does, and he definatly doesen't have the same amount of chakra.

1.) Why do people keep saying that Konohomaru is going to summon Enma and now learn Rasengan. First Enma, does he have the chakra level and control? Does he even have a blood contract? I would say he doesn't have the contract or chrakra level. Summoning such demons is a Kage level technique, and Naruto is the exception due to his genius and the Kyuubi. As well, remember who taught him, Jiraiya.

i agree with you on everything you said.. but naruto has no genius thats the reason he can't teach konohamaru anything.. he has trouble learning jutsus on his own let alone teach anyone!:kakashi:

Most of us pressume that Konohamaru is weak but that doesn`t have to be the case. We don`t know what he is capable of due to the simple fact that he hasn`t been in a manga as much as Naruto. We haven`t seen his development, his training because this is the story about Naruto. He could be a genius for all we know.

As I said already, his friends will show up and togehter they try to do something. Or someone will come to the rescue

cudnt have said it better. one other thing is interesting in ebisu's flashback. the flashback shows how ppl(who dont even personally know him) gradually changed their perception of naruto from 'kuybi kid' to 'uzumaki naruto'. this is the very thing, the recognition of village that naruto was pursuing his whole life. chapter 426 shows naruto just abt achieved that.

anyway, okay chapter for me too. fortunately i didnt have to tear my hair out as i know this humane side of the story also needed to be told. and a great chapter is coming after some lull in the action.

as far as konohamaru, i dont think the jutsu is rasengan or summon, it could be a simpler jutsu like naruto rendan or sth it was pre time skip when naruto taught him(as kono portraits pre timeskip naruto in his imagination), that means kono was even younger than naruto, when naruto learned rasengan or summon. he(kono) at that age, not even a genin, definitely lacked chakra control or knowledge to learn these two.

Kono might do something really cool or just get his teacher killed with some flash backs. Nothings impossible for Naruto. Wheres the hokages meeting i wanted to see Gaara. To much is going on >.< :O

For the people who think Kakashi is going to live on(it might be possible that he is still alive) kakashi is dead, and people should move on. I know it is sad, but in order for a story to be good and memorable and realistic, sometimes huge characters have to be killed off.

also the manga has been saying many times that kakashi is dieing, and is dead(it has continually spent like the last 5 mangas saying that Kakashi is going to die, kakashi is dead, kakashi is dead.)

for people who say he can't be dead because it didn't spend any time commemorating him, well konoha is under attack, there is too many events to spend some time talking about kakashi, and even if it did spend like 20 manga's going into kakashi's past when there are more relevent things it can talk about like the current events, then I would call THAT a useless chapter that should die.

not only do I believe that, but there actually WAS a little time spent talking about kakashi(they will most likely talk about it a bit later too cause he is an important character, but like I said there are too many things going on). this is what they showed about kakashi's death.

It's one thing to be observant, but for someone to state that Naruto is an intellectual is a complete enigma to me.

Whether or not Naruto's smart kind of derails us. He's not a tactical genius like Shikmaru. He usually requires a novel explanation for how things work in order to understand them. When it comes to actually training and fighting, he's a badass. He may not be able to devise a master strategy but he has shown that he's capable of changing his own based on his enemy's actions.

I'm curious what Ebisu is going to do, he has to be a jounin to have a three-genin squad. At the same time, we'll see if that Pein body is more than a glorified lie detector test.

Next chapter will show Fukasaku and Naruto brainstorming with an ending to the scene of naruto's light going on and Fukasaku wondering what Naruto's come up with, to be seen in 428.

Regarding Kakashi: at best he's near death, at worst he's dead. I think the story is moving along like a wave, just following Pein's bodies. They've moved on from Kakashi to Ino et al. So just surf along with Pein. If Kakashi has a further role in the invasion, we'll see him or his salvation, but the story is on Pein.

I give naruto 2 years before he dies if Kakashi dies at this point in the story line, 4 years before Konohagakure would be destroyed or taken over. Thats the type of affect that the death of the last apprentice of the honorable 4th Hokage would have.

they just want you to think that he going to die, so that it renews your respect for him once he lives through this. It's that simple Naruto fans. Just relax and read the next page

plus Gai would kill himself because he wouldn't have anyone to annoy anymore.
