Clearing up the confusion on who the strongest Hokage is......

hahah i check ed this forum yesterday and some stubborn hiruzen fan (no disrespect) did yet another strongest kage top list hiruzen in first spot.. *huoh* and now, when hashi is stated ; tame bijuu, kill madara, stongest senju, founder of konoha, fairytale, guy with his abilities is beating 5 kage simultinously only will of fire keeping kage's alive.. do this thread maker admit hashirama is indeed stronger than prime hiruzen, what was it? that generation ability?? and btw, with that ability anyway for minato is about impossible to beat hashirama.

Right, let me explain real easy for some of you................Minato is not the strongest Hokage. He is third strongest at best.

1. Hashirama Senju
2. Hiruzen PRIME
3. Minato Namikaze
4. Tobirama Senju
5. Tsunade​

Even if you point out that Iruka could have some bias or that characters that have stated this don't know anything, Kishimoto himself says in every databook that Hiruzen in his prime was the most powerful Hokage. In the first databook alone, this is stated at least three times:

Page 117: "He is such a genius ninja that he was even called the 'Professor', and he still garners everyone's respect as the strongest Hokage in history." (「„プロフェッサー”と呼ばれたほ� ��の天才忍者であり、歴代最強の火影 として皆の尊敬を集め続ける。」, "'Purofessā' to yobareta hodo no tensai ninja de ari, rekidai saikyō no Hokage toshite mina no sonkei o atsume tsuzukeru")

Page 119: "'Strongest in history', 'genius', et cetera, the words used to describe the Third Hokage are filled with respect." (「„歴代最強”„天才”など、三代� ��火影を形容する言葉は賞賛に満ちて いる。」, "'Rekidai saikyō' 'tensai' nado, Sandaime Hokage o keiyōsuru kotoba wa shōsan ni michite iru.")

Page 265: "The Third is called the strongest, even among the past Hokage, and he is even admired as the 'God of Shinobi'." (「三代目は歴代火影の中でも最強と� ��われ、„忍の神”と謳われたことも 。」, "Sandaime wa rekidai Hokage no naka demo saikyō to iware, 'Shinobi no Kami' to utawareta koto mo")

Being old=/= being irrelevant. Both the 2nd AND the 3rd databook state the same thing.

I know alot of you don't want to accept it because you've only seen the old man version (which i'll admit would lose to Minato probably), but in his prime he was said to have surpassed his predessors and was known as the 'God of Shinobi'.

Hashirama Senju's feats speak for themselves. I don't think I need to waste energy trying to convinve some of you who are well and truley baffled: Hashirama > Minato.

The fact is, even at the age of 69 Hiruzen was still able to hold his own against edo Hashirama and Tobirama, not to mention Orochimaru. Add to that the fact he still had enough in the tank to use Death reaper jutsu on himself and 2 other shadow clones. This at age 69.

Why FTG is useless vs Hiruzen:
Minato needs to put seals on things. Tobi had no knowledge of this. Hiruzen did have knowledge of this, he wouldn't be dumb enough to go near a seal. Minato has to throw his Kunai if he wants to do FTG v2; easily countered by Hiruzen shadow clone shuriken.

Plus, Enma will keep Minato away from placing a seal on Sarutobi

I gave Minato the benefit of the doubt when it came to Tobirama Senju because we know little about his abilities but i'm sure there are some people who'd argue he could defeat Minato.

Anyway, I was just clearing that up because some people were a little confused, especially when it came to Minato U_U

While I don't agree with the rankings, if it is in the data book and if the quotes come from Kishi himself, then we have nothing to argue about...

i think it also depends on who fights who. Person A can beat Person b and person b can beat c while c can beat A perhaps? Just because 1 guy is better than another guy doesn't make him better than another if the guy he beat was able to beat someone else.

Just because Person B beats Person C, Does not automatically Make Person A who can beat Person B also stronger than C. IMO it really is a pointless discussion Kishi is going back so many times on his word in terms of how strong someone is or atleast forgetting. remember guys this isn't DBZ....Their is no Power level BS here.

NO, we do not know as most them are not in the situation to fight eg. Sandaime was really old when we see him fight.

Shodaime is number 1 for sure. Tobirama + Minato doesn't show their potential in the story.

Tsunade IS the worst.

i wud say

1 hashirama
2 minato/hiruzen/tobirama
3 tsunade

i put minato together with hiruzen and tobi becuase we just dont know enuff about them but they are deffinitly stronger then tsunade but weaker then 1st
