I say this because as we know... Kubo tends to use Spanish for Hollow related things and German for Quincy related things.

We've also had Shinigami as main villains, then Hollows, then fullbringers.

the only group of people that have been left out are Quincys.

I can't explain the masks, unless of course they have become like Vizards or something and unlocked hollow powers. Or perhaps they are dead Quincy who became hollows .

Either way... Kubo is rather predictable and I'm sure I'm not the only who made a Quincy connections.

I only know that "reich" in this context means kingdom, empire or domain. As for vanden... I have no idea!

"It can appear by itself or in combination with another prefix, such as van de, van der and van den (current and archaic forms of the article de, meaning "the") and less commonly van het or van 't (the neutral article het). The German "von" is a cognate of Dutch "van", though unlike the German "von", the Dutch "van" is not an indication of nobility or royalty. These prepositions usually refer to a geographic place."

It's possible to assume Vandenreich means "The Kingdom/ The Empire" which now makes me think of the Soul King.

I too think that they are part of them, reading today's manga i see that his Quincy "bow" is a lot different though, I think it sends out bombs of some sort, also the techniques used was very new and different. As of now we dont know much, and the techniques can not be seen yet without color and is hard to come up with guesses, but I definitely think they are Quincy's probably with Vizard powers

Well of course. I'm interested in how they obtained masks, Ivan can't be the only one so special, hah.

I never liked Uryū >_> But Quincys as final villains sounds good. Vandenreich that is.

Hell no. F*ck that !
It's 1000 years. It's probably like a continuation to their war with Shinigamis from before, you know then they got wiped out. Well whatever, maybe Kubo did so to make it sound cooler... Thousand Year Blood War, let your jaws drop, hah.

Yeah this sounds about right... Probably the remaining quincy went into hiding and plotted plots most devious! xd

Really? And it really wasn't heavily implied in the manga, was it? Cpt obvious strikes again...
My arch nemesis... Professor Sandyasscrack... we meet again! :scorps:

I wonder how it will go Ishida? Will he join the Quincys? How will SS act towards him knowing they are in war with his people despite if he is on SS side?

One thing for sure, there assault will release Aizen, or they may do it themselves (Quincys of course).

I dont think Ishida would go alogn with them, as I mentioned before they probably have their own motive and are not looking for revenge, but rather for domination. As for Ishida, he would probably be pressured by them to join...

It's evident that these new villains are of Quincy origin. Of course how they have masks is the obvious question, but the fact that they have Quincy abilities is clear.

Hollows revolved around Spanish
Fullbringers revolved around English
Quincy revolve around German

Are there any German speakers on these forums who could shed some light on what Vandenreich is suppose to mean? Is it some Quincy equivalent of apocalypse or something?

I registered just to give you an explanation :D

My native language is Dutch, I also speak some German.
Reich (German) is indeed the word for Empire, Kingdom, ...
vanden (Dutch) literally means of the.
It's actually van den, but I guess Kubo decided to mash it all together.
If you look at Japan's history, and the main countries that influenced them early on, it is indeed Germany and Holland that had the biggest ties with Japan. If you remember Rurouni Kenshin they also did something with both the Germans and the Dutch.

'Of the Kingdom' ... what kingdom? Does this partake to the infamous zero squad? So many more questions!!

Oh!!! Welcome to NarutoBase... Hope you'll stick around... :D

Ahh so I was more or less right?

I think it may have something to do with the Soul King as I mentioned before... but at the same time something to do with the Quincy... given the fact they seem to possess a similar power and that a German word appears in their groups name.

You must be registered for see images

Forgive me if I'm wrong... but this initially looked like a spear to me... but at the same time an arrow...

Thanks for participating VinceD :D
