oonoki would give hashirama a very hard time and is quite underrated

im not actually talking about madara at all... but in that fight, oonoki looked like he was still about chuunin level.
i am willing to say that oonoki in his prime would beat ems madara high diff

But seriously I wouldn't put it past Oonoki to stand a chance but I wouldn't call it a majority if a guy can fight both Karuma and prime Madara and still win, you gotta be rolling 20's then entire time
but since Hashi was known (and his clan) to be the strongest out there (with the uchiha's rivaling them in strength) I wouldn't see the old man (or young for this scenario) pulling a constant win even with the super op move dust release (even though I love the old arrogant fart)

Well kabuto thinks otherwise as he now knows how powerful hashi really was and compared his strength with the SO6P. I mean that's the highest hype there can be :shrug:

Im just comparing oonoki to what mokuton we have seen so far in the manga. from hashi, yamato and edo madara.
and from what i have seen, oonoki doesnt do too badly against any of the wood tech attacks, if he wasnt so old and he was fully recovered he could possibly atomise almost any mokuton attack hashirama threw at him

no he isnt insanely underrated like say.... chouji, danzo or deidara (IMO)
but the overall level of his techs is severely underrated, he has the ability to fly, that already puts him out of reach of most close combat shinobi. on top of that he has pretty solid defence/offence with his rock techs.
and now to the dust techs...he can practically beat almost any opponent with these, they are an insanely hax jutsu and is so far underrated. if you get hit by it there is zero chance of survival, it just disintegrates you.
remember when he decided he was just going to kill kabuto and was stopped by his guard, because he would have destroyed the turtle island as well.
Also remember him saying how lucky it was that he was with gaara, because without him there would have been no way to defend against muu's dust techs which are the same as his.

there are few ninjas who can actually stand up to him in a battle if he was in his prime. IMO the only way to actually beat him is with genjutsu or just speed blitz him

he's a great ninja, but hashirama is better imo. Oonoki has been healed by tsunade before he fought madara, remember. I think Hashirama could use mokuton much more than Oonoki could use dust release, plus there's the bringer of darkness technique and weapons to consider too.
I like his style though, he has a very interesting range of techniques. It's great to see a proficient earth user at last. I'd say he's the strongest kage right now, and he's probably somewhere in the alive top 5, after naruto,sasuke, and tobi.

Well we know madara's mokuton isn't nearly as strong as hashi's (I'm not saying mokuton would tank dust tech but i think it would be more resistant than madara's mokuton) anyways I agree he's really underrated + rep for a good thread

after the new chapter and learning about hashiramas healing techs, i dont think oonoki has much of a chance anymore lol
but my opinion doesnt change that he is underrated and is insanely powerful!
