[Discussion] How would you react if God(any) didn't exist?

huh? I meant that we cannot be sure untill we die and find it out by ourselves. But we cann't really find out anything if we are already dead and remain dead forever. Unless you really goto heaven or merge with the Supreme soul or whatever your belief tells you won't know if God really exists. And by then you cannot share your experience with anyone.

I know I didn't really want to be mean but it gets to me that people say science is this or that but never even read any article about it or seen it in action. They choose to believe tv and other people, but then bash on people who believe a religion U_U

Oh, well, usually by the time you know for sure that a nuclear bomb is coming, there's nothing you can do. Kinda similar scenario.

But yes, as alluded to in my second post, I am of a similar mindset. I was just speaking hypothetically about how I would react if it were possible for me to know before death... while in reality, I believe I already know, but if I'm wrong, the worst that happens is that I helped my fellow man live a better life.

Again,just because we can't honestly say he doesn't, doesn't mean he does. The thread asks what you would say/do if it became apparent that he didn't.

I like to think that people are better than that. So far,they are.

At worst, I have lived a decent and fairly good life helping others enjoy their lives as well.

With that being said, I would be free from moral restriction and would find it difficult to consider any act by any person "wrong." If there is no God or afterlife, then you will have a very difficult time explaining to me why I should care about anyone other than myself.

Oh sure, you can then quote scientists, nature-lovers, and philosophers to make me understand ethics and moral responsibility, but at the end of the day, there's no real reason why I should care.

That is my honest opinion. Since you cannot prove that there isn't life after death or that there is no God, then I will go on living my relatively peaceful life helping others and being thankful for the things I have in it [Life].

You are asking someone on NB to show you how the world was made,simply because he/she doesn't believe someone who is metaphysical made it in 7 days. You are being hypocrytical.
Don't judge others. Simply because we don't have all the answers yet,doesn't mean we won't. Asking someone to prove what you cannot is unfair.

I don't mean you find out once you're dead me dear. I mean if somehow we had confirmation that it wasn't true.

I feel this thread has a better chance of repelling those who wish to flame and argue and attract a few who wish to simply make a point or say how they would react.

I said I didn't care if people thought he did or didn't exist. But rather was asking how you would react if it was confirmed that he didn't exist.
