[Debate] Does God exist?

When you're stuck in the middle of a shark-infested water and you feel absolutely hopeless, you will ask someone for help. No one will be there to hear you scream as you struggle to stay afloat. A higher power will.. and then at that point I don't know what happens next lol.
listen you don't have to believe in God,but don't start talking nonsense,and other foolishness...who created the sun and moon who else could make let me guess science,humans..... ya'll are not thinking logically.
So if God is that force would it be right to say he didn't create the universe in seven days? Is it possible that God isn't sentient rather God is just an event like you said that "force". If nothing can arise from nothing then where did God from? If you believe that God has always been there would it be wrong to say that the Universe has always been there?
Science is only there to explain why things are happening it doesn't create anything. The truth is you do not know for sure a 100% that God is real and do you know why its because you believe he is real, just because you believe something doesn't mean its real?
no, i am saying, something that was PROPHECIED thousands of year ago, befor we were even thought of is happening NOW and it was accurately prophecied to the T unlike other books or peopl can prophecy....the proof most non believers want so bad is out there to grasp but their ego's and human logic keep them blind to raw facts.....all science ever had at the end of the day was a theory but da scripture states facts that are happening now...and i refer to the scriptures to prove these things just like most atheist refer to science to disprove...His word is eternal and full of life
Lol I believe in evolution. You can be christian and still take part in the scientific community. The seven says are actually seven periods in the creation of the world, not like 24 hour days. that whole genesis story is adapted from the babylonian creation myth, so its not good to take it literally. It says seven days, but that is because of rough translation from jewish to greek to latin to english. Like in english the word, job means a lot of things. for example, "i have a job to do" "my job is accounting" or "open the door", "open your eyes". with hebrew that is not the case, there are different words for every thing, concept, and action.
And there is no way I can "prove" he is a sentient being who I can have a personal relationship with. That part is actually faith, but there is absolutely no way i can prove my faith is literally real, so there is no point in that. I was just saying there is proof that there is a higher power.
And the universe is physical so it is a bit wrong since if you deny there is a higher power then you are saying something arose from nothing.

What is God then spiritual? If he is something like spiritual then how can the spiritual affect the physical?

If you believe scripture is "God breathed/inspired" then you can't nitpick and choose what is fact and what is not.
I'm not gonna repeat everything I said in another post. But, either you believe or you don't.

Maybe you need to understand what the word spiritual actually means and what the concept of spirituality is really about before you can answer yourself that question. If you reject anything that is not of the material world how can you expect to understand what a spirit is?
Put it this way, if the physical world was started by something, then the something that started it could not have been physical.
Anyone reading this must not take it out of context and scroll back to my previous arguments of how the universe was created if they seem confused about this post.

doubt the power of GOD, but when THEE comes back, you all will be terrified :| GOD works in mysterious ways, i have been shown unspeakable things, faith is your greatest weapon .. because of GOD , i stopped selling drugs, because of GOD i had strength to do certain things... every bad situation we go through is to make us stronger an pass on the good news.. Only time will tell. I believe in god, nothing wrong with that, I have friends of all religions and it doesn't bother me what they think. I have my views, my opinions, my beliefs and my own will to think and act how I see fit.

Discrimination against gays
Racism (pretty sure there was a verse in the bible somewhere about Use any of the people living around you as slaves but do not discriminate against your own people.)
what type of god would want this?
Plus all throughout history the church has been pretty much a scandal, deaths. Richest "non-profit" orginization... Thats telling you some things.
I will not place my trust in the bible till i see proof... Just like me saying "God has told me for you to do this and you to do that"??? i just honestly dont see the logic behind it.
