1. Think of it like this. God created a system where breeding occurs through a man and a woman having ***. And God wants us to "Be fruitful and multiply". So you can see why he wouldn't want us be messing all that up.

2. Because sure you may be kind and help out the needy and never hurt anyone or steal anyone's car but you won't be sin free. At many points in your life you may steal someone's pencil or tell your fair share of lies, look upon someone with lust, have bad thoughts, maybe you even say mean things now and then. Now if you did none of those things then I'm sure you'd be all peachy keen but who was the last person to lead a sin-free life? Oh yeah, Jesus.

3. Well, read above. Even if it is just a minor sin. Wrong is wrong.
Your probably thinking about the good ole days. "Two women are together" Lets put them on stakes light them on fire and have man on women relations while taking in the sweet smell of their flesh burning and their screams echoing through our relations"

Why do you religionists ignore that? It's like you think that is wrong.

Personally I don't believe in god.

There are too many contradictions for me and I can't stand what certain religious groups support.

God is said to be all knowing. He should therefore have known that his creation would commit sin even before he created it. He still created man who later went on to sin. Now as punishment the man will spend his afterlife in hell - a place of discomfort. God is said to be all loving. Why would he still create man knowing that he would commit sin and have to suffer for eternity?

I don't mean to insult religion but it just doesn't make sense to me. If I'm a good person who contributes positively to others yet don't believe in god then I'm damned to hell. All I can conclude from that is that god isn't the sort of being to be worshipped.

I could get into a long discussion about this topic, but when I speak my mind people tend to become jerks and think that everything I say is full of crap. But I will say I am a Christian, so my answer will be the same as everyone else who is Christian and believes in the Bible.

The Bible was written by multiple people over the course of thousands of years. Many of which we have proof existed. It's basically a collection of accounts and letters that were put together in order to tell the story of God. In fact there were some that didn't make it into The Bible because they weren't thought relevant enough but you can still find them if you look online or some books.

Mine 2 :scorps:
Or searching Google to add more views to the argument.

I saw something about religion earlier, but to me the word "religion" is completely separate from a discussion on whether there is a God or not.
There is an old thread on religion.
To me : "religion ≠(not equal to) "faith"
I have faith that there is a God.
sorry, if you felt ignored.

Iruka, the best answer to this is that GOD gave humans the right to chose whether they want to commit sin or not. He may be all loving, but he's not a forceful being. GOD gave us choice or else everyone would be forced to bow to his power. That's why he's all loving. He loves us so much that he came to Earth as Jesus Christ (his son) and sacrificed his son in the name of love so we can repent for the sins we have committed. The religion isn't contradictory as you would think, if you talk to the right people.

So how do you know 100% that those people where actually telling the story? How do you know It wasn't changed to fit the views of a certain person. I wanna see proof of EVERYONE who made the bible. There is NO proof, much as you say It's all on faith. In every post you say proof, Like I sated there isn't 100%. I see nothing that proves you right at all and I took classes on religion for fun. You don't think that over thousands of years of being re-printed over and over and over some things can be distorted right? Like the verse: Killing people because they don't believe in what you say, or stalling technological advancement for a thousand years because for all you know the original bible probably said:

Love thy neighbor, don't kill people for not beliving what you do, respect them and leave them the hell alone. Don't stall technology, because it is usefull and without it we would still have a lifespan of about 30 years.

1. How do you know that is what he wants? .-. Are you basing it on just a book?

2. What is this sin you speak of (not trolling btw)? What is wrong with sinning?

3. Who decides what is wrong? Why is his opinion important? .-.

And white people are all racist, chew tobacco, watch NASCAR, and kill people for their land. And all Muslims are extremist who kill other people. And all Metal fans are emo/goth kids with black hair and eyeliner. All black people wave spears around and dance around fires.

If you're really going to judge a group of people based on what some of their dumb members did in the past or today then you're a moron. Every group has it's share of idiots that make the others look bad.

Nothing is impossible with God
If God can do the impossible can he create something with as much power as he has? Because if he can then that means it would be false to say only he is omnipotent and all-powerful and if he can't that means he has limits? Or does 'all powerful' mean just a power we as humans can't attain.

Why is it that the more educated a country is the less likely that they all believe in the entity known as God?

Do you really believe the bible word for word or are them some rules that don't apply today?

Do you believe in original sin?

Does God exist in a separate realm?

Why doesn't God punish people like he did in bible times?

Isn't christianity a cult seeing as how people worship a man who claimed to be divine and have powers?

Why do a lot of christians like to condemn others for their choices and impose their choices on others?

I like it when Christians and non-Christians alike take the Bible word for word. Amusing. Everything is a contradiction in life if you compare it to "God's vision" - that's the irony of it all. O omniscient and benevolent, merciful God yet the genocide of certain races and wiping out of cities (Sodom and Gomorrah?) is okay.

Believe it or not, there are messages both clear and subtle written in the Bible. I believe it's always been to help how you create God in your eyes. If not that, then take it as simple code of what you should and should not do - WITH the hypocrisies.

It all depends on a person,s life an religion.

A homeless person could see a rich person that sells drugs, and say "why god"...later on he would say.......... "there is no god"

@Felicia14, time doesnt have to do anything with this, there is never a bad place to talk about god, and could you link me to a website called:

talkaboutgodwithtimeandplace.com
funny funny funny dude."high five".

Well, that is a logical fallacy, and God does not operate on logical fallacies.

I'd kind of like to say that God can not make something more powerful than Himself,
but that would be like saying "God quack chirpy floobble bang whockle tuzz-sloop."
The "words" just don't make sense.

I mean, an infinite being cannot be described using finite and limited vocabulary
