This is a thread for those NB users who are living in America or have lived there for the most of their life. And I want to be clear that this has not been made in flaming purposes nor do I want to blame anyone in here. I'm just curious since it's after all a serious matter and it obviously is a cultural (American) thing. And it can't just be blamed by the lack of excercise.
Reason why I made this thread is this:
About one-third of U.S. adults (33.8%) are obese.
Approximately 17% (or 12.5 million) of children and adolescents aged 2—19 years are obese.
-The source for this info is: the National Health and Examination Survey (NHANES).
When I watch American movies I notice it's a tradition in there to make a majoynnaise or peanut butter sandwhiches..? And what's the other sweet thing called...anyways that surprised me 'cause sandwhich should be healthy..there's alot of f*cking calories in those..from where I'm from we just use margarine, cheese and a slice of ham in it. And I eat like 8 sandwhiches in a day --> I/We (as nation) do not have obesity problems.
And I also heard from a friend of mine who was an exchange student in US that Americans daily regimen consists of from a lot of white grain products. And that you eat veeerry fat rich meals for breakfeast. Like bacon and eggs etc..that's what messes me up, breakfeast should atleast be the most healthy meal in a day?
So I want to ask you guys living in US: From what kind of meals does your normal day regimen consists of? Ingredients etc..
If you answer you eat four times in a day and two of them are warm meals that doesn't tell me anything. So I'd like to hear specifics like for example: do you use lot of side dishes in your meals? do you use only products with "normal" fat levels and not the light type ones? I'm just curious.
~So, replies, questions, thoughts as for what you think are the reasons why Americans have a serious obesity problem..?~
