Lol i assure you gaara's sand is not faster than v2 raikage.....Gaara's sands weakness is speed as shown in part 1....Oonoki had to make his sand lighter and faster, to get over to madaras susanno, and holdit down etc....Gaara was most likely watching the fight, so sasuke on the ground, and sent his sand to help before the raikage came down

i would say that Garra would win as he would have more experience at that time, his sand is presumably able to move at the same speed as itachi, we already saw that he can defeat susanoo granted with help from Oonoki, but at this time itachi would still be inexperienced in the use of Susanoo, and amateretsu is also nulified, the only way that Itachi could win would be pulling off a tusokyomi or having the three legendary items which i am assuming he doesn't have. however if he does then Itachi would take the fight.

Owarij and Blaze have said all that needs to be said. No one has countered Owarij's argument, so it stands that Itachi would win.

By the way, I think quite a few people are underestimating Itachi as a 13 year old.

He was an ANBU captain at 13, something Yamato was at like what 27? Older?

He had MS at 13, was able to control Tsukuyomi incredibly well, and was thought by his clan to be the strongest in his clan, which at the time was the strongest clan in Konoha.
So with the possible exception of Hiruzen (I said possible) Itachi at the age of 13 was one of if not the strongest person in Konoha.

You can't overrate someone who was that strong at that age.

Gaara has gotten a lot of attention since the war started but guess what? The war is in a desert, which is the greatest advantage Gaara could have apart from his opponents being already dead.

Gaara has one skill, Itachi has many, and Gaara has no counter for Itachi's genjutsu, Amaterasu, or really anything.

Gaara can't beat Itachi, it just isn't happening. Not unless Gaara were to become a perfect jinchurikki or learn to do something other than move sand.

I think you're forgetting the fact that Gaara covered the terrain with his sand tsunami previously.
And come one,he could create one easily when he was young.Creating a dessert is nothing for him now.

It is a bit daft? Are you kidding me? 13 year old Itachi already had more feats than Gaara ever will.

A 13 year old Itachi beat Orochimaru in under a minute. A 13 year old Itachi single-handedly killed the strongest clan in the strongest village. A 13 year old Itachi was powerful enough to join Akatsuki and not only be respected but also feared.

And Itachi doesn't fight at all like Sasuke, but still Gaara wouldn't be able to beat Sasuke either. He would die a horrible death against Sasuke.


And @ Kazekage Daichi, Gaara can't turn anywhere into a desert. He was already in the desert when he did that sand Tsunami. And against Kimmimaro there was ground underneath him that he could grind into more sand. He can't just magically make sand. That isn't possible and frankly is kind of dumb.

In a lot of environments Gaara only has access to the sand in his gourd.
