Although I never hated or loved Kabuto, I am surprised by the lack of fans or even a strong hater base for him. I think he is one of the most interesting characters out there. Unlike most, he doesnt carry any "destiny" or "dreams" and most importantly, his character has never bothered us by soppy distracting flashbacks and all the time we have seen him, it has been in the most entertaining conflicts.

His major criticism is he is a wannabe Orochimaru, which I think is bull crap. Is utilizing what he has learned from someone strong and intelligent a drawback? Since SO6P gave birth to ninjutsu, are all ninjas wannabe rikudo? Even after Oro's death, whose motivations gave Kabuto a purpose in life, he picked himself up from a crony's status to becoming one of the key players in the fourth ninja war and he has still kept his real motivations a secret, which in my book deserves respect.

However we dont know if he's powerful yet
He hasnt shown any moves that orochimaru knew that he didnt know himself
He was already was studying Edo tensei when orochimaru was still in the world of the living

Edo tensei doesnt make you stong, That character he summons beats you not Kabuto

I can agree with a couple of things. Kabuto has been interesting, he is dedicated, and he has achieved power. However, and this will sound cheezy, but all those attributes Hitler also obtained. Another thing that these two share is absolute craziness. Kabuto ran around the ninja world "capturing/ \killing" hundreds of ninja and then stealing parts of deceased famous ninja to bring back this edo army. In addition kabuto is obsessed with power but he always relies on others power for his gains. Subordinate for Sasori = a great spy, a Subordinate for Oro = medical assistant and human experimenter/tortures, and care taker/ gofer for a genius. Now he has absorbed Oro's body and he relies on Dead Powerhouses to fight his own battles.
My point is I don't think that he is all that great.

So does Hitler. They both did/doing the same thing. Leading a massive army and being a key-player in a war that effected the world.

Pretty much every great ninja relies on others' powers for their gains.

Minato - used tobiramas space time jutsus and followed jiraiya's footsteps in sage training
Tobi- relies on bijuu, someone else's rinnegan, hashi's DNA and gedo statue which hashi prob created
Madara - his brother's eyes, hashi DNA
Gaara - mom's sand defense
Tsunade/jiraiya - rely on their summoning animals to perform their most powerful jutsus, tsunade learned her diamond head dot from mito

The list goes on and on

Tru dat and what is more remarkable about Kabuto is the fact that he survived under Oro, who just used his subordinates and threw them away like tissue. He managed to come out of it even stronger and more determined than when he began.

I think Kabuto is cool. Hes not my favorite character anything, Minato holds that seat, followed by Itachi. But he is definitely a formidable shinobi. Hes extremely smart, fast, crafty, a recluse like me, and now has inherited Orochimarus powers, who I liked way moer thank Kabuto. While he may not be as cool as Orochimaru was, he is still a dangerous shinobi, and deserves some props.

Kabuto is strong by himself he went to capture yamatto when there were 5 joining and 1 kage. Captured yamatto easily, he defeated Anko without trying and took Orochimaru's chakra from her. If knowledge of the human anatomy and Orochimaru's data makes him scarcely powerful. Creating a Manda that's bigger, faster, stronger and more obedient. His edo tensei is far more powerful than Orochimaru's. Creating Madara in his prime with the rinnegan.

Not to mention he still is a first class medical specialist. As good as Tsunade in her prime. Also he modified his body for specific poisons so a striking shadow snake bite can deliver death instantly or KO someone. Kabuto has surpassed Orochimaru.
