For my training, you will just describe how you would do it and actually do it.
At the end of each rank of elements, I do a quiz on the jutsu you have learned. D-rank Earth has 3 jutsu but one requires that you know how to be underground and move underground before performing so when we get to a jutsu like that, we will learn it. For the quiz, you will answer a few questions about each jutsu that will show to me that you understand how to apply each jutsu in battle.
Quiz Questions:
1. How would you use each jutsu in battle?
2. What makes each jutsu versatile in battle?
3. What restricts the use of each jutsu in battle? (Think range or time it takes to set up)
(Doton No Jutsu) - Earth Release Technique
Rank: D
Type: Attack/Defence
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Descripton: Creates small pillars of earth, small tools, and small shields of earth
(Doton: Gansetsukon) - Earth Release: Rock Section Cane
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary/Offense
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: This technique allows the user to take a small chunk of rock and turn it into the shape of a staff. The user can then use it as a melee weapon or throw it with pinpoint accuracy at their opponent. A variation of this technique allows the user to create several staffs and launch them at the target, but with less accuracy.
"Alright so I did that last jutsu correct?"
1. How would you use each jutsu in battle?
-For the first Jutsu, Earth Release Technique, if I were to have lost all my, for example, kunai, I could make a makeshift Kunai out of the ground that would not be as strong as a normal kunai but could suffice for distractions and such.
-For the second jutsu, Earth Release: Rock Section Cane, I could use it just for the purpose of a melee weapon. Or I could use it when my opponent is restrained and being held down by one of my or a team mates Jutsu, you could use it to take down your enemy. Or you could use It as a distraction, while you fire multiple staves, they are distracted on dodging them and you are able to get close to your opponent.
2. What makes each jutsu versatile in battle?
-The first Jutsu is versatile, because of the arsenal of different tools and weapons you can create out of the Earth below you during battle.
-The second Jutsu is versatile because it can be used for close combat, mid-long ranged combat, as well as a distraction.
3. What restricts the use of each jutsu in battle? (Think range or time it takes to set up)
-The first Jutsu has restrictions because the tools that you can create out of the Earth are not as strong as tools made out of metal.
-The second Jutsu has a waiting time in which it takes to make the weapon during which your opponent could attack you as well as if you only throw one stave it is easy to dodge, but if you create multiple they are not accurate.
