and i dont mean he should have shikai,bankai or something like that...its just that without hearing your zanpakuto's name u dont have a zanpakuto!! you unlock it once you scream its name for the first time like ichigo did. seriously does anyone remember toshiro with a zanpakuto before he could finally hear hyoronimaru's name?

What are you talking about.

You don't "unlock" your zanpaktou. You have it. It manifests with you when you become a Shinigami. It is a part of your soul.

Ichigo did have his zanpaktou before he even knew Zangetsu's name. It was the huge one that Byakuya broke.

When Ichigo learned Zangetsu's name he achieved his Shikai. Nothing more.

Kenpachi can't achieve a Shikai or a Bankai because he is already strong enough.

you have bad info, Kubo Tito said himself in new omakes that Kenpachi's zanpaktuo is a constatnt release type...so he haas always shikai ... like ichigo.

True, but I think what he meant was to actually know his zanpaktou's name and to be able to use it's abilities (assuming it has any).

Kenpachi has never listened to his zanpaktou even when it was screaming. That's why Zangetsu says that when a Shinigami and zanpaktou don't get along they diminish each other's strength.

This in itself implies that if Zaraki can at least learn his zanpaktou's name (even if it's already in Shikai) he would become stronger since they'd be fighting together

I think he is able to learn the name of his Zanpaktou, but the real problem is that Kenpachi doesn't BELIEVE in the Zanpaktou.

He can't learn it's name because he doesn't know how to communicate with it.

His zanpaktou was screaming, yet, Kenpachi couldn't hear it. In a way, you have to believe in your zanpaktou and trust it in order to learn it's name. You can't learn it unless your zanpaktou feels that you're worthy/ready.
