I didn't even know they made a sequel. Always wanted to play XIII but never could. XII is by far my favorite.

Fomalhaut (best rifel) + Wyrmfire Shot (fire amunition) + Oil (foe) + Hermes' Sandals (equips Haste) + Berserk (x2 speed and +50% damage) = definate 9,999 damage

Haste + Berserk on any weapon would be great, because it TRIPPLES your speed. Rifels might be one of the slowest, but with those two buffs, Bash ALWAYS hit first (if not a one-hit KO before the other two characters even get there)

haha I like your sig. I'm not sure about the game as I also want to know the answer to your question. FF13 was the first one I have played, and I really liked it (possibly best game i've played). The character interactions and plot strength was a huge plus for me, but that seems to be the standards for FF games. When FF13-2 was announced I was thinking day1 buy, but know im not sure, and still haven't bought it. Mostly I am hesitant since there is only 2 characters, Sarah and Noel. That amazing character interation is possibly gone so i'm not sure anymore. So for anyone with the game how is the story line, player interaction, and all round tone of this game?

I put 25 hours into the game already within 2 days. That's how addictive it was. I'm at the final chapter already. and I got the game 2 days ago. Haven't done the side quests though this is just main story + level grinding.

Pros:
- Cinematic action (the cinematic cut scenes have things you can do in them now).
- Multiple answers can be given when talking to key people (giving you multiple endings I believe)
- You can have monsters in your party (Behemoth, Giant Cactuar, Attacus, Omega Weapon) making you feel like a BOSS
- New Crythanthium leveling system is better (I like it this way anyway)

Cons:
- Battle system is really the same honestly.
- Heard the ending was open ended and incomplete therefore rumours are spreading that they will have to make a final fantasy xiii-3.
- other players complaining that SE sold them an incomplete game and we have to buy more of the story via DLC

I have also heard that its Multiplayer , but i 99% doubt that.
LOL It's not multi-player not that I'm aware of, the learning curve is easy since most of the game play isn't much different from FFXIII, like staggering you can still do. You can't cast haste though, you gain haste through preemptive strikes. Still 6 classes (Rav, Com, Syn, Med, Sab, Sen) and all that.

If you have nearly finished that fast/easy , then i might not get it.
i like long games like XIII , because that took me about 100 hours (including max out everyone , doing all missions)

Yeah spin off are usually 30 hour games. Like Final Fantasy X-2 could be beat in 20 hours. My friend got the game on release and already beat the game (in 4 or 5 days....put 44 hours into it and maxed out every class level 99 and now he's doing side quests). If you're bent on saving money, better to wait it out and get a used copy. Otherwise if you're a FF Fanatic. I didn't expect much from XIII-2 since it was a sequel/spin off.

I AM however expecting A LOT from Final Fantasy Versus XIII since SE has been keeping that Top Secret. And the Kingdom Hearts team is running that show, it's already starting to sound good.
