Popular Japanese news source Famitsu polls it’s readers as to what video games they are anticipating and includes the top 30 in it’s magazine. In the top 30 are an array of games from PS3, PSP, 3DS, and Wii. Xbox 360 isn’t that popular in Japan so it isn’t surprising to not see a game from the console making the list. What is surprising is that there is no sign of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations. Yes the game is for Xbox 360, but it is also for PS3. In an anime centric country where Naruto is one of the most popular series, it’s a shocker that not even 94 fans out of the thousands polled want to get their hands on it.
What the survey from Famitsu Issue 1208, which was released on January 26, 2012 in Japan, does show is fans want One Piece. One Piece: Kaizoku Musou (One Piece: Pirate Warriors) is the 3rd most wanted game by Famitsu readers. The game is expected to be released in less than a month in Japan on March 1st, 2012. No North American release date has been announced, and as for a European release, it is rumored, but no date or official announcement as of yet.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations is expected to be released on February 23, 2012 in Japan, March 13, 2012 in North America, and March 30, 2012 in Europe.
