Hum ok. So, as you are new to the rp i'm going to start with the very basics. I need you to in your own words (no copy-pasting from wikia mister!!! >_O) tell me what you understand by the following concepts:
Ninja
Chakra
Ninjutsu
Elements
Elemental Ninjutsu
Genjutsu
Taijutsu
Kenjutsu
^^
Sorry for the delay. I've been a bit busy with other side projects. Sorry. I'll try to continue replying more quickly.Don't worry, I don't cheat sensei
Ninja - A ninja is one who can control their chakra and utilize it to preform various techniques of different affinities.
Chakra - Chakra is the source of a ninja's energy, it is comparable to the energy of a human being. Whenever the ninja is low on chakra, it feels like they are low on energy and vice versa.
Ninjutsu - Ninjutsu is a style of techniques that usually have handseals done before them. An example is the shadow clone.
Elements - Throughout the chakra control and ninjutsu, one also has their own chakra elements, or affinities. Some examples are the 5 basic elements (Katon, Suiton, Doton, Futon, and Raiton)
Elemental Ninjutsu - Similar to regular ninjutsu. But this one allows one to use one of their affinities or "elements". One must utilize their chakra and manipulate their affinity in some cases.
Genjutsu - Genjutsu is also a style of techniques that may disable the opponents abilities, for instance if the user hits the opponent with one he may be paralysed or stunned for a short or long amount of time. Not all genjutsu is the same though, some are visual, some are physical, and some pertain to sound or sound waves.
Taijutsu - Taijutsu is a style of techniques that requires physical strength only. The arms, legs, feet, and hands are usually utilized in this style. It requires extremely strong body strength and passion.
Kenjutsu - Kenjutsu is a style of techniques that use the sword. This is using the sword through various techniques. One will hone their skills with the blade when training under this style.
Well thats all I know without looking anything up at all, so if i'm missing anything i'll look it up and research.
Don't worry about the late reply, everyone's busy sometimes.Sorry for the delay. I've been a bit busy with other side projects. Sorry. I'll try to continue replying more quickly.
Now, you got the general idea but some things need to be polished.
Ninja - anyone who fights for their beliefs using the full of his abilities.
Chakra - the combination of both the physical and spiritual energies in a sentient being's body. The physical energy is the Life Energy counter part, making the spiritual energy comparable to the Soul/Spirit.
Ninjutsu - Techniques in which you mold chakra to produce an effect that would otherwise be impossible to produce. It entails 2 basic concepts: Shape and Nature manipulations. Shape gives it a desired form, while Nature gives it a desired set of characteristics.
Elements - 5 basic manifestations of Nature that exist all around us in the wild. Fire, representing rebirth and transformation, life energy. Water, representing serenity and peace of mind, balance within. Earth, representing roots, perseverance, strength and resilience. Wind, representing fleeting desire, the absence of regret, forgiveness. And lightning, representing the wildness within, the harshness of the wild and the primitive instincts of survival. These exist in nature by themselves.
Elemental Ninjutsu - The ability to use your chakra to produce ninjutsu which manipulate the basic 5 elements for different purposes.
Genjutsu - Techniques that, unlike Ninjutsu, don't produce a real effect but rather an illusion, by manipulating and fooling the enemy's senses.
Taijutsu - Hand to hand combate. Its fueled by both mind and body, meaning its fueled by your chakra (spiritual and physical energies). However, unlike other Ninjutsu, you don't need to mold your chakra as you use it passively as a fuel. It can however, by enhanced with Ninjutsu, producing Nintaijutsu or with Genjutsu, producing Gentaijutsu. You can even combine it with Kenjutsu to produce Kentaijutsu.
Kenjutsu - Sword combat. Its much like taijutsu, having the possibility to be enhanced with ninjutsu, forming Ninkenjutsu.
Now, any questions mister? ^^
Ok now, regarding water. Can you tell me what its strong against or weak against? How do you think its best used in battle? By thinking of water, what advantages you think it has in comparison with the other 4 elements? ^^Don't worry about the late reply, everyone's busy sometimes.
and that cleared up a few things for me, thanks.
I'm ready to move on when you are.
*smacks your head*Suiton is weak earth because earth often absorbs water for itself, making earth stronger in some cases (mud)
It is strong against fire because just you would expect, water extinguishes fire in most cases.
If one wanted to use water release, their most obvious advantage is a water source such a lake, river, ocean, etc..
Using water release it allows a user to change their shape or state of body, into water.
And they can provide water from their bodies.
It is common for kirigakure Shinobi to have learned water release.
Some KG's that consist of water release as an element are:
Ice, Wood, Storm, and Boil
If I missed anything let me know sempai
Ouch! Sorry Sensei!*smacks your head*
SENSEI! I am a Sensei!!! Dumb @ss!
Now, its all correct. Water is weak against earth, though, because earth is solid and has greater mass and thus water struggles to overcome it and destroy it. Most liquids are weaker against most solids. Fire is strong against water because water isn't flammable and thus fire can't consume it. However, a strong enough fire can evaporate water and create steam.
Water can be combed with several natures on your own and even without a KG. These combos of 2 natures can be useful sometimes more because of the a dictional things created than the increase in power. For example, Water + Fire creates a boiling steam. Water + Earth may increase an existing mud jutsu. Water + Lightning may be used to increase the range of the lightning. Water + Wind increases the defensive ability of water and takes away the weakness wind has against fire.
Now, if you understood this all we will start with molding water near that small river ^^
Ok! then, sit down here *goes and sits by the water near the river* alongside me. Cross your legs and close your eyes. Try to listen to the water and feel it as it pushes and pulls itself. As it moves. As it flows. As you to this, focus on your chakra flow. Slowly try to make it calm, thick and fluid like the water flowing in front of you.Ouch! Sorry Sensei!
I'm so used to responding to Leaf sempai that its become habit lol
anyways, i am ready to mold water.
*sits down beside you.*Ok! then, sit down here *goes and sits by the water near the river* alongside me. Cross your legs and close your eyes. Try to listen to the water and feel it as it pushes and pulls itself. As it moves. As it flows. As you to this, focus on your chakra flow. Good, you're getting there. Remember to make your chakra flow within you with calm and serenity. Breathe slowly... Inhale...Exhale...*sits down beside you.*
*Thinks to self*
Water. Feel Water. Be Water.
*I focus my chakra to further concentrate while meditating and remember the things i learned about the Water element.*
*Thinks to self again*
I feel it. I feel the water pushing and pulling itself.
*Continues to meditate*
*I attempt to make a calm, thick, and fluid like water flowing in front of me*
*Continues to meditate*
I am at harmony with the water.Good, you're getting there. Remember to make your chakra flow within you with calm and serenity. Breathe slowly... Inhale...Exhale...
Your chakra isn't flowing properly... (with this i mean...more description please...explain how your chakra is flowing and how you make it mimic the water that is nearby) ^^I am at harmony with the water.
I am inhaling slowly and exhaling slowly.
My chakra is completely relaxed and in harmony with the water and serenity.
With this second try I reach an understanding with the water.Your chakra isn't flowing properly... (with this i mean...more description please...explain how your chakra is flowing and how you make it mimic the water that is nearby) ^^
*notices the water reacting to your chakra flow*With this second try I reach an understanding with the water.
I concentrate my chakra to be in tune with the water. As I deeply inhale it matches the waters movements. As I inhale the water slowly moves closer,
and as I exhale slowly, the water moves away.
I concentrate very hard breathing deeper, and slower each time.
It comes to a point to where after I have breathed as slow as possible I am calmly holding my breath.
As I hold my breath I am completely relaxed and the water remains perfectly still.
I am at harmony with the water.
