wow all those who predicted a fairy tail B team were right and they have laxus, gajeel and mira and now Jellal. Yup FT definately winning this tournament especially with the fact that erza and natsu hardly lose.

Great chapter!!! Completely caught me off-guard with another fairy tail team!!! That's awesome!! I was hoping gajeel and laxus would fight and with jellal or Mystogan, that's even better!!!! Next chapter is going to be awesome!!!!

Masters can't participate, so it should be outside the tournament, but I really don't want to have to focus on anything else besides the matches. The S-class exam already got cancelled due to that, I hope not this tournament too.
Yea besides Iwan Dreyar is more or less the only trump card Hiro still holds. He is mysterious, powerful and has some interesting connections within Fairy Tail.
Both a pro and a con in the fairy tail story in my opinion. The arcs almost never leave loose ends, and you never have a general idea what is coming in the next arc.
Unlike most manga where you have some ideas which direction it will be like preperations for war, heading to fishman island, become shinigami again.
I hope Hiro keeps Iwan in the dark some more, just a little bit of info on his main guildmembers.
Year 777? Disappeared dragons? Dragon Feast? Same year Lucy's mom died? A prophecy? Gajeel and Natsu are apparently over 80 years old? Acnologia? Zeref? Lumen Etole?
I think there's still some stuff left.
That all basically has to do with one thing: Dragons, when we start getting answers to those questions probably everything that is connected to it will be brought up again as well.
But don't even compare it with Naruto and One Piece. Those manga have a more continuous story and a lot more loose ends.
As for Fairy Tail we know it's going to be about dragon's again next arc just like the one before and the one after the next one.
I wish there was more stuff like where did the magic come from, is there more to being a guild other than protecting the normal people. What is in it for the dark guilds. Some background on the magic council.
All kinds of things I think are interesting enough to tell more about in the manga.
So? Dragons have been mentioned since chapter one and now we still know barely anything of them. And none of the previous arcs went about dragons. Yes Acnologia appeared, however that was at the end of the arc and actually had no relevance to what happened before and the Edolas arc went about dragon slaying magic, however that had actually no relevance whatsoever to the Dragons in the real world.
Also I forgot to mention Tartaros.

Furthermore, on top of everything Cali mentioned already, there still are unknown events/characters/etc that may take part in this story. FT is relatively new, or at least it is compared to OP, so you can't compare one against the other until both of the end.
Considering all the twists Hiro gave that came as a complete and unexpected surprise, I wouldn't be surprised if we soon are told about different beings, events or whatever you can think of.
