To be honest, it'll only remain the bigger "mystery" until it gets revealed. Remember when he opened the last casket and couldn't see who was in it? Yea most people thought it was Madara but once seeing that IT WAS. That wasn't too mysterious.

All in all he's definitely going to be the fight, maybe, that'll decide the end of the Series.

My only thing about Kabuto is that we were never really told what his true goals are. All we know is that he wants Sasuke. I wouldn't call it revenge because it was Itachi who ultimately "killed" Orochimaru. Who knows, he could have found out a way to release the souls of the the Kages form the Demon God Seal and hiding them from Tobi as a back up plan incase Tobi tries to betray him. Also why hasn't he Edo'd Madara's brother? I think its obvious that Tobi isn't Izuna.

Also one huge factor is that snake that Kabuto keeps talking to. If you notice earlier in the Manga right as the war is starting, he is talking to a white snake that is attached to him(or maybe it isn't) the snake proceeds to talk back to Kabuto, asking him questions. I thought that was very odd.

Might Orochimaru with most of his strength gone. For all I know he and Kabuto could end up fusing into a beat more powerful than the snake we saw when he appeared before Itachi.

I agree that Kabuto is a bigger mystery. Even though he's been around from the start, when you get down to the bottom of it, we still don't know anything about him, his life before Oro, what he's been doing all this time, his true strength, none of that. I think people have a pretty good idea about whats going on with Tobi, we know his motives, how he's going about achieving his goal. The only thing is the mask...and does that really matter? Will it change anything if we ever find out who he is? I don't think so. I don't even care who he is. I'm much more concerned about Kabuto.

Apparently not. I guess Kabuto goes into the saying "Look underneath the underneath". We do know his last name comes from a renoun Medic Nin from Konoha and he really did used to be a Konoha Nin before defecting.

Well I guess what I really mean is, all the other forefront characters that we've seen so far (especially ones in the story as long as kabuto has been) have had developed backstories, flashbacks, personal time, w/e you wanna call it.... we have almost none of that from him. Tobi is a brand new character in comparison to Kabuto so we really shouldn't know that much about him. He hasn't been around long enough.

Which say's the main enemy is Kabuto indefinite and not Tobi.

He has been around since the very start basically, and always up to something, gathering information and sometimes displaying remarkable skill. After Oro died/got sealed whatever he just magically is powerful enough to persuade Tobi to be on his side. Gets raped by Naruto on the bridge while he was borderline 4 tails and just walks out of the forest like "whatevs" even though Naruto was basically making Oro shed in to a new body every time he hit him. I think Kabuto has a lot more to do with the plot than Tobi and was more than likely just using Oro.

He reminds me of Itachi with his clairvoyant way of knowing just about everything, and never really has showed his true power even though he's a main antagonist and from some of his dialogue ("that jutsu", conversation with Edo Madara, little map/chess board-ish thingy controlling the war like he's playing with toys ect ect) appears to be in a higher position of power and or control than Tobi is, in fact I think Tobi's very presence is to draw readers away from Kabuto, so it won't be predicted early, he's kinda nerdy (even though now he's more badass than before at least) and people are sucked in to and attracted to bad ass and unknown things, hence Tobi, mystery man with mask who Kabuto suddenly wants to chill with since he got done chillin' with Oro, the previous end all bad ass villain and gained power and knowledge from him and his body. He sure does like to chill with the end bosses, I believe Kabuto may very well be the end boss (aside from Naruto vs Sasuke cause well, that's just got to happen)

Also I think Itachi may end up losing against him, just my twist since everyone is convinced Itachi is gonna just own him and walk away.

..plus if you've played some of the newer Naruto fighting games (not that it's canon but whatever) you see Kabuto being pretty bad ass.

Kabuto seems like the main villain to me. Tobi seems to be a lot more worried about Kabuto then Kabuto is about Tobi. Tobi is paranoid about how to stop Edo Tensei and he thinks that Kabuto was lying to him as he was explaining how that tech works and how to stop it. Kabuto seems to be incontrol which is funny because hes trying to sway Madara to being on his side.
