As shown by Deidara, chakra controlled objects can be inhaled by opponents.

Step 1: Refine sand to minuscule size
Step 2: Send small amounts of microscopic sand crystals all over battle field, then stop controlling it with chakra.
Step 3: Wait for inhalation
Step 4: Rip sand through opponents blood vessels and brain.

Win.

His bombs are diffused by lightning.

sand is a type of earth therefore it's also weak to lightning, also it would be hella boring and i think if you refine sand like that it stops being sand.

Refine the sand -> let it be inhaled -> rip through opponents body.

That is interesting though: What would happen to the sand/Gaara's control of it if the opponent were to shock themselves?

Gaara hasnt done anything with the sand, in connection with size.
Sand in general is small and insignificant, but also its on the ground. Lets not forget that we can also see sand, but with deidora's c4 you more or less need a doujutsu, although it can be sensed by a sensor.

The list goes on, i weirdly liked the idea but just no :)

Well, I've been thinking about the same thing considering ones who have an affinity for water.

They could disrupt the opponent's blood flow or pop an artery just as easily.

But I bet Kishi wouldn't introduce such a thing, because every character that has an affinity they have mastered or a KG would be able to do it.

With Raiton, you can fry your opponents synanpses.
Fuuton, blast their lungs.
Suiton, do whatever the hell you want with their blood.

The list goes on and on...

Naruto+Throwing Rasenshuriken= complete obliteration and a dirty blood spot on the ground that was once known as Gaara.

True, we can see it. But what if he took, let's say, 2 grains of sand - the smallest he can find. Took them, and shot them into someones nostrils, and had them rampage throughout the circulatory system?

This is just speculation. I feel it within Gaara's abilities to do this, don't you?

He would have to shot a bucket load into somebody's nostrils for it to cause a problem. Not to forget he must have a pretty good eye sight. A doujutsu perhaps? xd.

Maybe - Picture 1 grain of sand going completely horizontally through your brain or heart. Not much is needed to cause a stroke you know.

But drug dealers don't have the ability to control where the coke travels.

Well, they do kind of, but you know what I mean.

Go to page one and read what Kirin Rei (I hope I spelled that right?)
It's very relevant.

Your theory could work but it doesn't need to happen the way you describe it.

Gaara usually has grains of sand in the air anyway and uses this as a form of detection. To this day no one has ever detected this sand and certainly hasn't been able to get by it undetected.
Sand in itself is small enough to enter the enemies body without them taking much notice. The only give away would be if someone could sense the chakra inside the sand or if they started noticing sand in their mouth(but by this point it's probably too late).
He doesn't need to refuce the size at all.
By all accounts Gaara could also use the sand he has and just stuff it down the throats of whoever he wanted, especially while they are inside the sand coffin. Then simply cause the sand to rip them apart.

My second point is that Gaara's nature type is Wind which is strong against Lighting.
Additionally, Gaara's sand doesn't act the same as any Earth style or it would be stronger than water as the elements circle states.

Lastly,Gaara used to do something a little like this with his Sand Coffin. He used to suffocate the victim and then crush them with sand and rip them apart which spattered them everywhere.

Gaara in theory can do this, but it isn't the perfect technique & would still not make him the strongest. Anyone with chakra detection would see the grains & if he didn't charge it with chakra, the sand would fall.

Neat idea though. I had thought of this before but it's a bit OT.

Thought it worth adding: Think of Magneto in X-Men 1. He pull the metal outta that guys body once it was in. Gaara could do exactly that once the sand is in.

Perfect response. I feel though, that since Sasuke inhaled Deidara's bombs, Gaara's sand can make its way as well.

Just because something is possible though, doesn't mean it will happen.

Also to those who refuse to believe this could happen. You're wrong. Flat out wrong.

Ever been to the beach? Ever accidentally get sand in your mouth? Easy ain't it?

Now if that sand were controlled, and then ripped through whatever location it found itself in, you'd be in some trouble.

Not trying to hype Gaara at all. Simply stating that the sand can find it's way into the human body and find it's way back out again. Same as Magneto's metal injection.

:D
