Gaara hasn't even shown the ability to move individual pieces of sand with enough force to damage a human.

And gaara can't do this for the same reason that any water element user can't manipulate the blood within a person.

Your statements do lead me to retreat to Deidara. He has been shown to control microscopic bombs. What is keeping them from clogging vessels?

deidara couldn't control the microscopic bombs, he could only set them off.

Here's another example why gaara can't destroy a person from the inside out. The third kazekage was said to control iron right? Human blood has trace amounts of iron in it. If the third just took the iron out of a human, they would die as hemoglobin (the protein in blood that carries oxygen) can't function without iron, effectively suffocating the person. If the third kazekage had this ability, he would have been the strongest shinobi in existence, sasori would have been as well.

Water and blood are very different. Study and find out about it.

Gaara has been shown to use individual sand grains as a form of detection. Stands to reason that he can control them however he wants. For example he made the sand in the air converge and make a step solid enough for Naruto to jump off & Rasengan Muu.

Iron was controlled through his magnetic release. Gaara controls sand by infusing it with his own chakra.
The sand he uses is already charged/controlable.
