yeah that's how good gaara sand control nowadays not to mention he's fighting in the desert

and what's with that minato super fast kunai ? LOL u have to remember that kunai won't stay still in the desert,since sand is soft unlike soil, so the kunai will be rendered useless

and of course gaara won't do that at the same time since minato can't summon bunta while he's trying to attack gaara,

and yeah gaara isn't that bad, that's what can he do in the desert.

well if i look carefully when deidara create the bird it doesn't take to much time he only put his hand inside his pocked and mold some clay and in 2 sec boom DONE

He was able to beat A's attack to the punch.
Stopped 2 explosions from harming anyone.
Escaped from Lee reverse lotus while Lee was in his Gates mode.
Was able to block Amaterasu.

There are plenty of reasons to say that Gaara is by all accounts,fast.

I won't argue there at all.

Sasuke's Susanoo is pretty powerful and I think even a defence as good as Gaara's will find it's match there.

Anyone fast can still get thru gaara defense if there speed is 4 or higher in the databook, dnt get mad at me cuz his sand slow, if his sand is so fast why culdnt he catch deidara who was on a clay owl.

I think most of the time, if someone has a brain cell at least, people recognise that Gaara is a really good character. I think he's given credit when it comes to the areas he excels in. On the other hand some people refuse to come to terms with the fact that Gaara is not a slow character nor is he weak when it comes to close quarters.
Gaara was able to overcome Lee & Kimimaro, both of whom are great fighters and experts at close quarters combat. He didn't simply do it by standing about and waiting. While he stands defending there is much more going on underneath the surface.(and I don't just mean underground )

Regarding speed though, I really do think Gaara deserves more recognition. I don't see anyone else shifting that sort of weight in such short time-spans.

My point is explosion happen fast & with alot of force. This was also the type of explosion Gaara's sand should be weak against, yet it managed to block it 100%. My favourite part of all this, is that Gaara does everything while ensuring everyone else remains as unharmed as possible.

Let me settle this.Gaaras sand is not faster then space/time.ALSO Minato does not carry 1 kunai with 1 ftg seal,so you get that bury kunai thought out of your head.For minato to beat gaaras flying techniuqe all he has to(Listed below)

Throw kunai's with ftg in the air-Teleport to random kunai-Throw another teleport to that one and rinse and repeat until he gets to gaara.

Gaara will not even have a second to react to every kunai that is thrown and were it is at.He can not react fast enough to ftg itself manily because he will not have the reaction time to beat TIME IT'S SELF.Common sense over ignorance.Try to come up with a counter to that mr.debater.

OT:I agree gaara's reaction time is fast and impressive.BTW that video you showed was a filler.

Above we see Lee wince in Pain using the Lotus and Gaara notices and manages to escape within a split second.

Within a split second he escaped from a high level Taijutsu attack and positioned himself hidden and behind Lee.

Just wanted to point out that even then Gaara wasn't as slow as people say. He was very cocky though about his defence, one of the main reasons why he doesn't move and favoures standing still.

I'm gonna add some more Gaara fun facts@

1: Since the Gokage Summit, nothing has broken or dented Gaara's defence.
2: Gaara has shown he is able to summon enough sand to cover Sunagakure & protect the entire of Division 4 in what appeared to be less than a second. While he was fighting.
3: Amaterasu doesn't affect Gaara,his sand blocks it.
4: Gaara was able to lift his sand above his fathers gold which is 20 times heavier than water & Oil. Which means he isn't that weak against either.

If anyone wants to dispute these facts, feel free.

He didn't summon that sand, he brought it straight up from suna which is a desert thus covered in sand which is what he blocked deidaras bomb with. Same deal with joki boi they were fighting in a desert so he just moved the sand that was already there into the shield. Oil crumbled his sand but normal water has not been as big a weakness since he became kage its just not as easy to move it as normal sand.

And if A doesn't have the reaction time and speed to keep up with minato and ftg why would gaara, his sand couldn't catch joki boi why would it catch one of the fastest ninja ever.
