Bleach-when did they learn to fly?

Well i was wondering...in the manga did it ever show ichigo learning to fly? Also did it explain how shimigami can fly?
I ask this because during the save rukia ark ichiga along with other shimigami never flew once. But when they went against grimmjow they all started flying.

go to the grimmjow fights there is a lot of flying in that one. Oh yeah and in the 10 squads vs Aizen and his men..everyone flys in those fights.

They're not 'flying'. They're using their reiatsu to either form platforms in the air to stand on or to propel themselves through the air.

Everything (and everyone for that matter) in Bleach is comprised of spiritual particles. Thus, anything and everything can be explained by reiatsu or reishi.
