Prime sarutobi will knock jiraiya the **** out with low difficulty. Yep jiraiya isnt getting in sm. If he did get into sm, then sarutobi beats him with mid difficulty.
Old hiruzen vs jiraiya. Ill go with the 3rd still, because i believe he can outmanoeuvre jiraiya can use the death god to extract all of his soul, therefore its a draw

I'm not sure pre SM Jiraiya can beat prime Saru but he's got a shot with hair for defense, toad combo for large attacks and Swamp of the underworld to take control of terrain . SM Jiraiya will DEFINITELY win cuz he'll have Pa and Ma's genjutsu and Saru has neither a Sharingan nor a good relation with a sealed Bijuu.

If the 3rd is in his prime he wins with med/high difficulty but if he's the old 3rd(like when he fought Orochimaru) then i guess Jiraiya wins with high diff.

when the match up i as close as this i always stick with the databook. As of now, jiraiya, he has 35.5 in the databook and saru has a 35. so jiriaya with high difficulty unless he enters sagemode than its truely gameover with mid difficutly. Havnt seen saru in his prime so none of you guys can say he would win his "prime". The jiraiya we seen was not in his prime as well so its hard to decide..but as of now, jiraiya rapes saru prison yard style

Btw hidan has a higher stat than shikamaru
Neji part1 has a higher stat than naruto part1

We don't know anything about prime Hiruzen, but by hype he would win.
Old Hiruzen though clearly gets dominated if Jiraiya gets into sage mode.
Then Jiraiya has literally every advantage over him. They both have the same elements, that have been shown in the manga, earth and fire.
Jiraiya has way way way more chakra, Jiraiya is way stronger, Jiraiya is way faster in SM, his summons boss the hell out of Enma, and his jutsus shown are more powerful than the ones Hiruzen has shown.
So old Hiruzen gets beaten soundly, just like he got beaten soundly against Orochimaru, because if anyone remembers that was a loss for him, he only got Oro's arms, and Jiraiya has more chakra than Oro so Death Reaper seal would be even harder against him.

This is ridiculous. The 3rd is all hype and baseless hype at that. What has prime Hiruzen shown us? That's right nothing.
This is pretty much old Hiruzen vs Jiraiya and Jiraiya would crush that Hiruzen. I seriously don't know why people bring featless characters into versus threads.

that fight you cant compare to what im saying cause you seen the fight, shikamaru was at least 10x smarter than Hidan, Hidan was dumb as shit. what im saying is that jiraiya as smart as saru but he isnt dumb as well. they showed alot of feats that show jiraiya's intelligence. sorry for the dp
