Naw too many if's. Although it would make sense in a way because his right eye would be transplanted therefore never deactivated and we've only seen the right side of his face, which was crushed by the rock. Maybe he had some medical ninjutsu done on it and that's why the right side of his face looks older. Or maybe it's not him... Prolly

If you're an Uchiha you can deactivate and activate the sharingan at will anytime you want, even if it's transplanted, if you're not an Uchiha then no you can not do that.

Just a theory if he was Obito: We know Tobi had two Sharingan eyes, but why would he use only one of them? Maybe because the second eye wasn't his own, but one from his collection of the Sharingans he had, so he needed to cover it like Kakashi does. Another thing that made me suspicious is that in the battle between Tobi and Naruto/Bee, when Kakashi sad something about the powers Tobi used with the Rinnegan, Tobi said to Kakashi: "Good eye"! I know it maybe means nothing but on the other hand Kishimoto likes to throw some hints and he has done a lot throughout the series. Anyway, even if Tobi isn't Obito, what we surely know is that he was like an apprentice of Madara and he orchestrated the "Eye of the moon" plan with him.

well i think he is the elder son of the Sage of the Six Paths he inherited the eyes of the sage and He believed that force and strength were the key to peace and what is tobi doing? and it explains how he nows so much about the Sage of the Six Paths and the ten tails he even nows everything about madara's past i believe he has been watching over for decades and seen how chaotic the world has became and hes willing to do something about it

He only uses one because it's his own. He uses the other only if he needs to for Izanagi maybe. I know Izanagi takes a lot of chakra and shuts the eye. Maybe he saves the spare eye for that tech only.
Also, I noticed that Tobi has said a few things to Kakashi about his eye.

I think Tobi may be Kakashi's childhood friend Obito...it makes sense with his power to go through things (he could have done it to escape the rock that squashed obito) and he has only had 1 sharingan eye (because Kakashi has the other one) it makes sense to me, but I dont know what could have happened to make him evil :/

obito is too young , when he fought minato he would have been 14... tobi looked about 50
its kagami , otherwise he wouldnt have been shown

This is equally an entirely good selection of points. Also the age issue is probably the biggest factor.
I mentioned in the past that the Tobi & Tobirama names may have had a link but no one listened. Not saying it's correct, jus sayin.

I think both arguments have good reason to be and neither can be said to be totally correct.

Well we were shown that half of his body was crushed so badly, that he couldn't even feel it.
but there a lil chances he could have escaped that.(so we are not 100% sure he is dead or not )

he only showed one sharingan eye he obviously had both because he used one for izinagi to escape konan and still had one left after. and obito would have no reason to hold such a grudge against the leaf village. also, when it shows a little of his face hes old and wrinkled but obito wouldnt be all that old.
