So the False Surrounding doesn't have to be used for just creating a wall or tree, but can also be used for creating the appearance of a jutsu as well?
Yup. You can create the illusion of a technique given into account that this illusion must be of a technique related to the surroudings. Wood, Earth, Water, etc all can be used. But don't overuse it. Simple things onle. Making the enemy see a water dragon rise in the nearby lake won't work. But making spikes come from below or a hole appear in front of the enemy is possible.

That explains a lot, thanks. :)
Also would my explanation of knowing your surroundings be an acceptable counter to a genjutsu like that? I mean, you'd think it's pretty strange if you're fighting on a beach and a brick wall erupts out of nowhere, right?

Yes, logic is extremely useful when fightning against Genjutsu users and figuring out you are under one.

Oh I didn't know that.
Lol

I will leave you with a cool combo i came up with with this technique. When facing a non dojutsu bio non sensing one, you put them under this genjutsu and make them see the ground exactly as it normally is. Then you follow up with Spikes or swamp or some other technique. This way, the enemy won't be able to counter until he's caught in it. However, this must be done short range.

Questions before we move to the next ones?^^

No questions here sir.
No questions here Mr. Scorps. ^^

(that has a nice ring to it)
Now, for the next ones we will do this slightly different. For each technique i want you to post the following information:

-Brief description of how you perform the technique
-How can the technique be used in battle (combos with other moves/skils, creative use, etc)
-Limitations of the technique
-How to counter it

Ok! first batch:

You make one handseal (if i'm not mistaken) and you vanish in a whirwind of sakura petals. You vanish from your opponents sight...not in reality off course.

(Genjutsu: Kahen Tonsou) - Illusion Technique: Flower Petal Escape
Rank: D
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points:N/A
Description: The user vanishes in a whirlwind of sakura petals.

Basically you throw a paper bomb at your opponent but what he'll see is a servent (a lackey, a familiar, etc etc). Once the bomb is in range it will activate and boom! (not a good illusion if you ask me but it still has its uses)

(Genjutsu: Kasumi) - Illusion Technique: Servant
Rank: D
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points:20
Description: An illusionary servant that is really a paper bomb that once in range of the opponent will explode.

The user vanishes in a whirlwind of sakura petals.

Performance: This jutsu is really only used if you're caught in a situation like a different Genjutsu like the False Surroundings jutsu we performed earlier. If I were to use it, I'd perform the needed hand seals (Tiger → Boar → Tiger → Horse → Ox ) and make the target seem I've vanished into flower petals using chakra manipulation as you would with any genjutsu. From there I would either just make it seem like I float away in the wind, or stick to the target, making it seem like I've covered them in petals.

Usage: The technique is used primarily for making your target think you've disappeared into thin air. If you were to make it seem like you were sticking onto them, you could dispose of a paper bomb and make it explode at the right time after you're out of it's blast radius or something else. Another thing would be an ambush which seems to be the best thing for it. If you had a Shadow Clone for example you could make it use the jutsu, then dispel the clone so that your target really does think you've disappeared, even after the genjutsu has finished. Another example may be to just conceal hand seals if you were using a jutsu which required one.

Limitations: Well the biggest limitation like most genjutsu is that the technique is short range. It's a big weakness since you still need to inject your chakra into their brain to work. Another limitation is that it doesn't affect the target's senses at all apart from eyesight. Seeing as it only makes you look like you've disappeared, they can still rely on their hearing, memory and movement to make some proper judgement.

Counters: Because the jutsu affects your eyesight, you can still get out of it through something like stabbing yourself in the leg, or causing general pain ot yourself, since it doesn't restrict your movement. One which may be a good counter is just moving back away from the user. Since it's short range and Genjutsu requires insertion of chakra to the target, you can tell if they're really there or not if you take a few steps back.

Rank: D
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points:20
Description: An illusionary servant that is really a paper bomb that once in range of the opponent will explode.

Performance: When I throw a paper bomb, I will insert the chakra into it, and the target to make them think there is another being in front of them. I will then take a few steps back to get out of the way, and when the "servant" falls within the range of explosion, I activate the seal to explode and potentially kill the target.

Usage: Since this is something to form a servant or familiar, you can use it in a variety of ways. Using this jutsu, you can make the opponent perceive that they're seeing a clone and wouldn't hesitate to attack it, or make it look like a personal summon of the user. You could also potentially make it look like a jutsu which you've just used. For instace, depending on how far you can stretch the illusion, you could make it seem like you've used a simple water jutsu which then explodes on impact. I think you could also use the small range to your advantage. If you were to send out something which would seem devastating, it could lure the target back into mid-long range, meaning your target is limited to what jutsu they can use.

Limitations: The biggest limitation is it's range, but I'm not sure if that's explosion radius or using the actual genjutsu. A limitation is that it has to take the form which would be similar to the size of the tag, so you couldn't make it look like a giant fire dragon or anything. Another is that the explosion only works if the target gets in the range of the explosive tag.

Counter: To be honest, it's a weak servant. If anything, you could just use a jutsu and the force of it would make the illusion vanish in a second.

I have a question before we go on... It seems like these jutsu have to be used within short range of the user, so technically the "Servant" jutsu could be used in long range, right?

-Brief description of how you perform the technique
Make the required hand seal like you showed us and you place your enemy in an illusion where you vanish from sight, while a whirlwind of flower petals make it look like you float away in the wind, or stick to the target, making it seem like I've covered them in petals.

-How can the technique be used in battle
The technique is used mainly for making your target think you've disappeared into thin air. If you had a Shadow Clone for example you could make it use the jutsu, then dispel the clone so that your enemy really does think you've disappeared, even after the genjutsu has finished.

-Limitations of the technique
Since it is still a low rank jutsu, plus to add it's short ranged if the enemy has trained in genjutsu they will know the technique all to well. Another limitation is that it doesn't affect the target's senses at all apart from eyesight.

-How to counter it
Because the jutsu affects your eyesight, you can simply inflict pain on yourself, i.e. something like stabbing yourself in the leg, or causing general pain ot yourself also if you move back a few steps, you may be able to tell if they're really there or not if you take a few steps back.

Rank: D

Description: An illusionary servant that is really a paper bomb that once in range of the opponent will explode.

-Brief description of how you perform the technique
When I throw a paper bomb or a kunai bomb, I will insert the chakra into it/them, and in doing this, it will make your enemy think there is another person in-front of them, I take a few steps backwards, when the paper bomb is within range of your enemy, it'll blow up.

-How can the technique be used in battle
Using this jutsu, you can make the opponent perceive that they're seeing a clone and wouldn't hesitate to attack it. You could also potentially make it look like a jutsu which you've just used i.e. you've used a simple water jutsu which then explodes on impact.

-Limitations of the technique
Mainly it's range more then anything. Also maybe the size of the paper or kunai bomb. So wouldn't make it, look like a fire dragon or something. Also the enemy has to be in the range of the blast radius for this to work well.

-How to counter it
Since it's a low rank and if the enemy is skilled in Gen, your enemy could just use a jutsu and the force of it would make the illusion vanish in a second.

You are a bit confused. The first one, your enemy sees you vanish in a whirlwind of petals but you are still in the same spot unless you move away. Then you are free to do anything you want but still, he sees you vanish, you don't vanish. So, how would this be useful if you were under another gen? specially the one you mentioned. Care to explain?

As for your question, you put your ENEMY under the genjutsu. So, to make your enemy see the paper bomb as a servant you need him to be under short range of you. As the technique states.

Again, the target of Genjutsu is always your opponent. Remember the definition of genjutsu. So, you don't insert your chakra into the paper bomb...you insert it into your opponent so that he can't see the paper bomb as it is but like a servant instead.

Both of you forgot Kai as a way to get out of genjutsu.

So if you move from your spot after using the Petal Genjutsu, it's dispeled and not in effect anymore? And I didn't explain another genjutsu. I was just saying if you made a Shadow Clone use the genjutsu on the target, they would still be under the same effects, but then if you were to disperse the clone, it would fool them into really thinking they've disappeared, like the genjutsu was still on, but wasn't.

Oh...ok i must have misread then.

Now, next ones:

Simple enough this one as its basically a more advanced version of the last that creates more illusions but these are simply illusions which can't harm your opponent in any way. You use your chakra to make him feel several clones, soldiers, skeletons, etc.

-Brief description of how you perform the technique
Just like the servant jutsu we learned earlier, it creates fake bodies that can be whatever human sized things you want i.e. human/skeleton, by sending chakra into the sense of sight at short range, this jutsu will make your enemy think there is more of you then there are, and you could bombard your enemy .

-How can the technique be used in battle (combos with other moves/skils, creative use, etc)
You could mix in your real shadow clones with the genjutsu ones making it easier to pull of combos from behind the illusions and confusing non-skilled genjutsu users.

-Limitations of the technique
You must use this jutsu in short range, and also gives the enemy a valid reason to use widespread attacks that could break the illusion or defeat its purpose of the jutsu.

-How to counter it
Chidori to paralyze the servants which breaks the illusion weather you know it's genjutsu or not, as well as using your Kai to break out of it, and earth tremors, the servants would be unaffected, and then you should be able to tell they are genjutsu or whatnot.

-How can the technique be used in battle (combos with other moves/skils, creative use, etc)
Simple attacks that require no handseals. i.e. Taijutsu and or the chidori/rasengan, use those before your enemy wakes up and attacks you.

-Limitations of the technique
Seems like it may be a bit slow to take affect, and then if your enemy is skilled in genjutsu they wouldn't have a problem breaking out of it.

-How to counter it
Using the pain and or kai method to break out of the genjutsu. Because you remember learning the illusion for reason to break it.

I was a little confused. I was under the impression that if you used the jutsu, and then moved away the jutsu would be dispelled because they would see you in that specific spot right?

But anyway...

Mist Servant
Description: This jutsu uses the same principle as the previous servant jutsu. You would insert chakra into your opponent's brain like any other genjutsu, and make them think that there are soldiers in front of them. Because these are mist servants, if the target tried to hurt the servants, their attacks would parse right through them, and the genjutsu would continue. If you wanted to, you could throw kunai and shuriken while you're hidden and make it look like the servants threw the kunai.

Creative usage: A low level ninja would be easily fooled by this mirage. If you wanted to enhance the effect of the genjutsu, you could use the Hidden Mist prior to make them appear weary and hidden within the jutsu, or to make it look like you've got some backup with you to the opponent. It would also be useful for the weapons, since they can't see the weapons being thrown at them either.

Limitations: The fact that the jutsu is short range means your opponent is open to a plethora of attacks, just for you to get a chance to use this jutsu against them. Another thing is that it doesn't restrict their movement, so they could charge right through the servants, thinking they're really a genjutsu instead.

Counters: The jutsu making servants which seem to be made of mist means there are a number of ways you can counter them. If you can use an attack which would sever them, you could find out that way it's a genjutsu. Otherwise, a widespread attack would work best, since then you'd be thinking to cover a lot of ground.

Hell Viewing
Description: This jutsu is a particular genjutsu which can show the target a fear in their heart, something they would never want to see. An example of this is when Kakashi used it on Sakura to make it seem like Sasuke had suffered fatal injuries. For using it, I would perform the two needed hand seals (Snake → Rat) and insert my chakra into the target, making them see an imaginary whirlwind of leaves. This would render them baffled and confused, which I would then control the chakra to show them an image they would never want to see. Making them see a gruesome image works better in shocking them. Because of the image they saw, they're shocked and fall asleep to get rid of the image.

Creative use: Like I said before, the jutsu is used to show the target an image they don't want to see. Showing them something awful and gruesome would be the best thing for it. Additionally, you could combine it with another jutsu, such as a fireball to make it seem like you're setting a loved one on fire, but proceed to aim for them instead.

Limitations: This is a jutsu which only works in short-range, so you have to be close in order for it to work. It also requires hand seals which can slow down the process of an already slow jutsu. It can also prove ineffective if the user has nothing that they desperately don't want to see.

Counters: There really isn't many counters to this technique apart from the basics. If you knew your loved one wasn't there at the scene, then that'd help in knowing it's a genjutsu.

I'm not mentioning Kai and stabbing because they're conventional, used for almost all genjutsu to break out of. I'm trying to come up with some creative ways to snap out of them. ^_^

(Magen: Narakumi) - Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing
Rank: D
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points:N/A
Description: Causes the enemy to see a whirlwind of leaves and a spinning world that puts the enemy to sleep for one turn.

-Brief description of how you perform the technique
Being in range which is short, you send chakra to the sense of sight and brain and make the enemy slowly fall asleep as they see you vanish in a whirlwind of leaves.

Good!!! Don't forget, to release from the Genjutsu you need to explain how you logically found out its a genjutsu. Don't ever forget that.

Next ones:

Simple enough. You make your enemy lose himself. Now, this can be done in several ways as the description is quite vague. The best use is for example using it while getting out of sight so that your enemy will have a difficult trouble finding out its a gen. I'm sure you can come up with interesting combos.

Ok another simple one as most cannon genjutsu are. This is basically a genjutsu you use to torture and enemy in his mind, enabling you to get secret informations.

Sly Mind Effect
Description: The user will begin by inserting chakra into their target's brain, or nervous system. Through this, they manipulate that they are lost in a desired location, such as an endless desert or a forest with many carnivorous animals.

Creative Usage: Stating as you said the best way to use this is to get out of sight, the most optical way of using this would be using this jutsu with something like Hiding Like a Mole, so you could disappear, making it seem like you've gone from the scene. Something else may be that you could use the Hidden Mist jutsu to conceal yourself before using this, and the manipulating their mind that the genjutsu involves mist. One thing I feel could work but only for Toad Users, is the time Jiraiya used his reverse summoning to bring someone in a toad to torture them. Using that jutsu combined with this jutsu could mean changing their location entirely, in both minds.

Limitations: The fact that this is short-range is a big factor, like most other genjutsu. Another is that it leaves them wandering for hours, so you couldn't restrict their other senses with this jutsu.

Counters: Apart from conventional means, logic can really work. If you're wandering in the same circle for hours, in your mind you'd be able to figure out that you're in a genjutsu. If you can notice some very obscure things and keep a note of them, you can figure out you're in a genjutsu that way.

Interrogation
Description:The user inserts chakra into a captured target, and tries to interrogate them through any means necessary to get information out of them. If the target's will is strong though, it's considered useless.

Creative Usage: This is really a basic genjutsu to get secret information from other people, so there isn't much you can combine it with. I suppose you could combine it with something like Tree Binding jutsu to trap your target before interrogating them.

Limitations: The user may be strong willed, so if that's the case, the jutsu is nothing but useless. Not to mention you can't exactly use it in battle easily, since it requires capture of the target.

Counters: Like the limitations specify, if you're strong willed, the jutsu is useless. However the jutsu doesn't orient any of the senses either, so considering the interrogator has to be concentrated, you can do anything to stop it, considering it's short range.

Hell Fire
Description: The user alters the target's mind to make him think that he's going to be engulfed by a massive fireball coming from the sky. Because of this, the target runs to safety, away from the fire.

Creative usage: One thing I like about genjutsu, is that you can blend in actual jutsu to try and aide in the illusion. For example you could use the Fire Release: Flame Flower jutsu with this to blend in the real with the illusion. It can be used to your advantage, because the jutsu would take a while to fall as well. Another example is that because this perceives a fireball, your target should naturally use a water jutsu to counter it, making it so you could use a lightning jutsu to help with that.

Limitations:Short range, like usual, but also the fact that it takes a long time for the illusion to take full effect is something in itself.

Counters: Like the jutsu says, you run away from the fireball, so running towards the user to distract them with a powerful taijutsu move could work. While you can't disrupt the genjutsu itself unless through conventional means, you can do something your opponent wouldn't suspect.

Illusion Technique: Sly Mind Affect.

-Brief description of how you perform the technique

The user begins to insert chakra into the target's brain, Through this they make the target think that they are lost in a desired location, i.e. making them walk aimlessly around in circles.

-How can the technique be used in battle (combos with other moves/skils, creative use, etc)

Good use would be Hidden Mist jutsu, because to conceal yourself before using the Sly Mind Affect jutsu and the manipulating their mind that the genjutsu involves mist.

-Limitations of the technique

Short-range is a big factor, like most genjutsu. Another is that it leaves them wandering for hours, and their other senses are still intact.

-How to counter it

Logic can work. If you're wandering in the same circle for hours, in your mind you'd be able to figure out that you're in a genjutsu.

Illusion Technique: Interrogation

-Brief description of how you perform the technique

The user inserts chakra into the target, and tries to interrogate them through any means necessary, i.e. though pain or anything, to get the information out of them. If the target's will is strong though, it's pretty much useless.

-How can the technique be used in battle (combos with other moves/skils, creative use, etc)

This is quite a basic jutsu, so you could combine it with something like Tree Binding jutsu to trap your target before interrogating them.

-Limitations of the technique

Short range mostly, as well, your target may have strong will, so the jutsu is pretty much useless. It requires capture of the target so that may be hard in the mid of battle.

-How to counter it

Try to recognize it, considering the interrogator has to be concentrated, you can do anything to stop it.

Illusion Technique: Hell Fire

-Brief description of how you perform the technique

Effect their sense of vision and hearing to simulate fireball coming from the sky, so the target runs to safety.

-How can the technique be used in battle (combos with other moves/skils, creative use, etc)

You could use the Fire Release: Flame Flower jutsu with this to blend in the real with the illusion. Could be really useful, another one could be the target with smart thinking use a water jutsu on the illusion, and while they are doing that, you could use a lighting jutsu, to your advantage and help you out.

-Limitations of the technique

Like most genjursu, but also the fact that it takes a long time for the illusion to take full effect is its main downfall.

-How to counter it

Recognize it and take a risk breaking it or running towards the user to distract them with a taijutsu move, may work just as good, could be hard to break the jutsu so do something your opponent wouldn't suspect.

Very Good. The first one is the most useful from all of these. You can use it with Earth Release: Wheel of Fortune or with Water Release: Mist (like you both said) or with Wood Release: Nativity of a Sea of Trees. This way your enemy will be even more fueled into the illusion and will have more difficulty explaining how he knows its a genjutsu.^^

Now, for the B-Ranks and A-Ranks we will do this differently. I'll post the jutsu with my usual description and i want you to check them, read them and post any questions you may have. Coupled with that i will now only ask two things of you for each technique: a combo you'd use with each one and a reasonable, logic explanation that you could use in battle, of (if you were targeted by one of these) how you'd know its a genjutsu. (Genjutsu is all about putting yourself into the shoes of the target and see if he can find flaws in your genjutsu that he can figure out its a gen and thus release from it...if you know the flaws of your own technique you can use those to your advantage).

This next one is one of the most usefull genjutsu out there (cannon wise). You basically wave your sword back and forth illuding your enemy in such a way that he'll believe you've had grown several arms with swords. ITs good because it doesn't require handseals nor much time. You only need your opponent to see the sword waving back and forth.

(Konoha-Ryū: Yanagi) -Leaf Ninja Art: Willow

Description: The user waves their sword back and forth, which when seen by the target locks them in a genjutsu which causes them to hallucinate multiple waving arms. The movement resembles that of a willow tree blowing in the wind. With the enemy off guard, the user is free to cut them down.

This one is similar to many techniques. It's also very good to use with a Wood Bio as your opponent will have trouble explaining how he knows its a genjutsu.

(Genjutsu: Ingemame Ketsugō sakkaku) - Illusion Technique String Bean Binding Illusion
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short

Description: Similar to Illusion Technique: Tree Binding Death, where the user first disappears, while the target sees several bean vines growing from the ground. These vines bind the target body, lifting them into the air. Then a bean pod rises from the ground to reveal the user, ready to stike.

Another petal one. This one will, however, be faster to put your enemy asleep. But its simple to understand i think.

(Genjutsu: Kahen Dizorubu) - Illusion Technique: Flower Petal Dissolve
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points:N/A
Description: This illusion makes the user think there being dissolved into sakura petals and renders them fast asleep bound in this illusion.

Basic description is clear. Lol A tree grows from beneath your opponent binding them while you stab them with a kunai in reality.

(Genjutsu: Jubaku Satsu) - Illusion Technique: Tree Binding Death
Rank: B
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short

Alrighty then. :3

Willow
This is a Jutsu which makes you seem like you have multiple arms, which would disorient them making them feel drunk lol. Well not that, but in a similar state, so it really does damage to their eyes. If used correctly, the disorientation after the user has finished performing the genjutsu, so using something as simple as Shuriken Shadow Clones could increase the effect the user has on the jutsu. Considering that particular jutsu already increases the amount of shuriken, using this logic would increase it tenfold.

You can most likely tell you're in this genjutsu because of the many arms. Unless it's a clone of some sort, it only looks like a limb and logic states that only limbs can't wave. Using a Wood Jutsu, it'd be even harden to see out of it, since the user could manipulate the wood to move like leaves, in the same fashion this jutsu would.

String Bean Binding Illusion
This is a jutsu similar to the Tree Binding jutsu, as it is the child jutsu of it. The user makes the target feel like he's being ensnared with vines and can't move. The user then erects from a beanpod with a kunai ready to strike. In conjunction with Wood Jutsu, it can be feared as you said, because it would be a lot harder to recognise the genjutsu, if it's really wood.

There aren't many ways to tell if you're in this genjutsu or not. If the user is a wood user, it makes it even harder to tell whether you're in a genjutsu or not. The user seems to appear in a beanpod, which could seem strange, so that may be a way of telling if you're in this jutsu or not, since I'm not sure if Wood users can create beanpods.

Flower Petal Dissolve
This is a faster paced version of the Hell Viewing jutsu. Instead, you make the user feel like they're dissolving into Sakura petals, and then falls asleep. I don't really know any counters to this, but using something to bind them, like a Water Whip could give them the illusion that they're escaping, but you're actually weakening them for a stronger kill, or a lot harder to react to them.

Well the most part is logic, you're appearing like you're disappearing into nothing. If you're not activating the jutsu yourself, what else could it be? It has to be a genjutsu of course. I'm not sure of any other ways to tell if you're in this genjutsu, unless you start to feel drowsy quite fast.

Tree Binding Death
As far as I'm aware, you create a genjutsu where a tree wraps around your target, and then you appear in the tree and stab them with a kunai. You also seem to disappear like the Hell Viewing, making the illusion that you're not just standing there. You could possibly use this without a kunai, but a kenjutsu technique to deal more damage, as well as pulling out something which they wouldn't expect.

The basic way of telling that you're in a genjutsu through this technique is the first part of it, where your opponent vanishes into thin air. Although you could mistake this for the Camouflague jutsu, the sakura petals give it away. If you're seeing your opponent pop out of a tree, those with basic knowledge know even wood users can't merge with a tree so smoothly, so that's another way.
