I just found out that Bleach is taking a 3 week break so I looked this up. From what I have read, the idea is to gather research for the new arc. Here's the most interesting part.

Note, this is not in any way confirmed, just what I read so if it turns out to be bullsh*t, don't complain to me afterwards.

It's been rumored since before the Xcution arc that once it ended (479) Kubo would take a three to four week break, and then start the FINAL arc to end the series which is suppose to last a year and a half or two years tops.

If true, that's around 2 more years of Bleach. The guy who posted the comment was pretty confident. Here is the link if you want to have a look:

One guy in that thread also said this;
I have no idea where people are getting these two years things.

Kubo mentioned in a interview awhile ago that he wanted to continue Bleach for atleast another 10 years! While we are not sure it will last that long, it will still be around for a good long while from now! Its not really productive to be sad about a ending date that has no basis behind it.

So just to say it again...Bleach has NO CLEAR END DATE, it may be another 5 or 10 years, we have no idea how long Kubo will have it. So I just say, enjoy while its here and stop worrying about it ending soon, because its not.

And I totally agree with him.

It's also said that Kubo is in London right now for something Bleach related.

I read/heard about this 10 year thing is well, but I also read that he did an interview with another magazine (I think it was NewType) where he said he was only going to do two more arcs, Xcution and a final one with the latter lasting two years. Although, this could just be to get people reading again with its falling viewing figures. Once it does he would extend it further. Also 10 years is hard to believe especially since so many feel it will never top Aizen and its losing viewers on a regular basis.

To confirm falling sales:

Keep in mind that for around the last 5 years or so, top three were One piece (no manga will beat this), then Naruto and then bleach, for 2011 it placed 8. *Holds hand on head in shame*

So the Xcution arc is over?
It was never called the "Xcution Arc". It was called the "Lost Shinigami Badge Arc".

The end of the Fullbringers is likely only the beginnings.

Keep in mind there are still Fullbringers alive. Yukio, Jackie, and Shishigawara are all alive. Yukio even tells Jackie about how he'll return in a few years

I wouldn't be surprised if this is only the early stages of this arc in order to set the stage for more to come.

That's nice.

The majority of Hollow related things revolve around Spanish. Quincy related things revolve around German and the recent Fullbringers' powers all had English names. Maybe Kubo's looking to do something more with this trend? :shrug:
