[Theory] Tobi is....

The 10 tail beasts body that was apparently locked away in the moon.

Reasons:
- He has stated himself he is a "shell of his former self"
- Tobi's reaction to Madara coming back - Madara has the ability to control the Ten Tailed Beast perhaps? Perhaps it was even Madara who freed him?
- It affirms the reason for collecting the tailed beasts


I haven't really kept in touch with Naruto to add any more reasons than that. Question really is if this theory is plausible.

Ummm.. Read the manga properly it says that its body was trapped in the moon...The Sage of Six Paths used Chibaku tensei to trap its body in the newly created moon....

ok...hum my question is why would the ten tailed beast have an human form? I mean his body is in the moon (suposably) and he´s soul was separated in 9 how does go from that to a human with a mask.
Also i believe the ten tailed beast would be have a proud personality (seeing how the 4 / 8 / 9 tails behave) and for that would not go by the name of others or even without a name
