I think it's more likely you ignored what I said. And him being a Pedo is my opinion among many other's, not saying he actually was one genius.

In reference to his true goal, which was immortality - I had forgotten that in the midst of things. Also, your idea of simply stealing scrolls containing techniques from other Villages and learning them via the Sharingan --- They're all highly probable events that could've happened.

Just going to point out that if Danzo could have even the smallest amount of control over Orochimaru the Snake Sannin would know and never would have agree'd to his Sharingan and Mokuton surgery unless it benefitted the snake to his way entirely.

Aha, Yeah, I Know Its Just A Theory, But It's Quite A Convincing One. You're Right Though, There Are Far Too Many Possibilities. In My Opinion, I Don't Think Orochimaru Would've Been Able To Gain Mastery Of The Sharingan - At Least Not To The Adept Levels Of Sasuke And Itachi's Control Over It.

I think the Uchiha body was the second half of his plan. You see only a blood descendant of the sage can fully realize the power of the senju+Uchiha DNA. Compare Danzo and Madara. Danzo has both Senju cells and Uchiha eyes but he's only a bad counterfeit compared to Madara-who is of the sage's bloodline and can use the rinnegan where as Danzo can't even use Izanagi's full power.
