The Senju weren't whipped out there clan merged with the whole leaf village.
wrong. They merged all the clans in fire country to one to crate the leaf , not senju alone... yeah explains it well but this is about senju alone, not like 50 other clans + senju, ofc all the clans merged + senju take uchiha wtf dude
Idk wtf you mean but it sounds like you are agreeing with me. To summarize what I said was the Senju clan is the whole leaf village meaning Kakashi, Minato, Haruzen, Jiraiya ext make up what's left of the Senju clan. Thats why the leaf village is so powerful cause of there diversity and sheer talent.
The current Uchiha clan was small and dying. Sasuke even said that the sharingan was rare in his clan meaning not every clan member had a sharingan.
The Senju clan doesn't really exist all that's left of them is the will of fire and there ideology, that the newer generation surpasses the previous.

You dont' want to waste your time with me, in all fairness, with no disrespect I shoud be saying that about you because there are some pretty big flaws in your statement.
1) The Uchihas were assassinated in Sasuke's childhood, before the series, how do you know there weren't Senju around then. They weren't the focus, they weren't what the story was about at the moment. The Senjus had little relivance to the Uchiha assassination when Tobi was explaining that to Sasuke.
2) You want more proof then the Senju and Uchiha were fighting for decades/centuries without either clan being able to defeat the others, and when both clans were said to be pretty much equal? What more do you want it's common sense my friend get some of that before you say the Uchiha were stronger, because if they're clans have been fighting for so long why and one was superior to the other, then the superior one would win right? That's when common sense comes into play.
3) Clan of 1000 techniques, if that's been stated in the manga then it's true regardless of if we've seen it or not, however I'm not saying Tsunade has that many techniques (she's not even full blooded Senju) but regardless of their 1000 techniques being existant or not, whatever the Senju did, it was enough to keep them equal with the Uchiha.
4) Look, idc about Itachi, Shisui, or Sasuke other then Itachi and Shisui betrayed their clan and Sasuke's just a shit load of hatred. I don't care what Itachi and Shisui's motives were, I don't care if they were doing it for the village, the greater good, or Jesus Christ, they betrayed their clan, which is the point I'm making if you would actually read what thoses statements I made in my posts.
5) You're speculation that the Hashirama recieved help from Mito is nothing more then that. You want me to use the wiki? If you look on Hashirama's background it'll say that he fought Madara who had control of Kurama. After Madara was defated by Hashirama Mito became the first jinchuuriki of the Bijuu so, no she didn't help him, Hashirama fought and defeated Madara himself. Which also answers you speculation about a tie with Hashirama and Madara seeing as it was said that it was a tie. Mito wasn't a shinobi she was a kunoichi get it right
and she didn't help so get your facts straight buddy.6) If you want more proof that Hashirama didn't die because he in fact defeated Madara (before Madara even had his dna), it was said that Hashirama died in one of the many wars after Konoha's founding, meaning he survived his battle so there you have it. You wanted me to use the wiki and I did, next time don't give your opponents sources trying to be arrogant.

Looks like the clans strength are based on a few ninjas in them. 1 st and 2 nd hokage where quite powerfull, so where madara and his brother.
We have not really seen anyone else in those two clans whose power where great (At their time).
Now the Senjus are gone? Or they just plain fail at being ninjas.
Uchihas are pretty much gone. Unless Sasuke goes pervert on the girls.
So the two most powerfull clans are dead?
Oh and it looks like Naruto is the last of his clan too, Nagato being dead and all.

Exacta and the only reason Itachi was sent to do it was because he was a double agent and already had their clan's trust. I mean it wasn't hard since it was mommy and daddy but still. I would think a fair number of Anbu could've done the same with minimal effort, if it was an ambush.

yeah in general in think they were. they were mentioned along with the uchiha to be the Strongest Clans. not strongest individual ninja. i think the senju and uchiha were about equal.

They were equal which is why it was said that they were equal in the manga and that one clan could best the other, but too many Uchiha fanboys can't accept that are believe that the Uchihas were better.
Because the Uchiha are über awesome hotties accompanied by their mystical auras, have multicoloured eyes and Sasuke is the strongest character in Narutoverse that has the ability to wipe the floor using KM Naruto as a mop?:shrug:
I don't know how fanboys' minds work, but I figured you'd get an answer similar to this if the OP decided to grant your post with a reply.

Because only a handfull of people knew about the plan.
They wanted to keep it quiet, so who'd be a better choice than someone from the clan himself?
It was way, way more easier to have someone do the dirty work from the inside.
They wanted to frame it as one Uchiha's betrayal against his clan and village.
I can probably come up with a couple of more reasons but I believe those above should suffice.

then why not tell itachi and have an ambu squad take them on i mean why not that way there be no uchiha ? ( maybe because they where two scared)
Yes, I'm sure they were scared...
Because only Danzo, Sarutobi, the Konoha council, Itachi and later on Tobi were in on the plan. No one else knew a thing about it.
No one else was supposed to know about it, not the ANBU, not the members of Root. No one.
Shisui probably did too, seeing that he disappeared when he was given the job of keeping an eye on Itachi.
