Which one would I choose to have? The Chidori sounds cooler, but the Rasengan packs a bigger wallop. Plus, it's more difficult to learn so pride comes with knowing the technique

Won't happen. Kakashi already claimed he could not combine his elemental chakra with the Rasengan. If he can't even add Lightning chakra to it, then how would he add Lightning chakra and turn it into a rapidly spinning ball of electric current?

rasengan dont uses elemental chakra
so it is not wind chakra



rasengan=chidori

because
rasengan makes an "area"damage, its larger
but chidori cuts directly through something, so if you want to cut some heads use chidori
