Admirals are cool and dandy but there's no way they could compete with Roger, Whitebeard or Garp in their prime. Whitebeard would wipe the floor with them. It wouldn't take more than 5 seconds to kill Akainu and the rest would go down as fast as that.

Agree! Whitebeard was strongest pirate, but old and sick, too. These two admirals have not this kind of problems. Beside, they are really strong, too. Once Whitebeard strongest pirate after Roger. Now, Akainu is the strongest marine (I think). Anyway, it is diffucult to say that which side gonna wins!

Whitebeard of course was extremely powerful, but taking on 3 admirals at the same time would be too much for even him. As we've seen each admiral is incredibly powerful by themselves, and on top of that they seem to work well together. I don't think they would win with ease, by in the end I think they would take the battle. All of them would be very worn out and maybe even one of them would be killed.

Don't compare pirates to marine. In the marine, ranks are important. You can't compare an admiral to a commander, that is obvious.

Why not! Both sides bountys determines by the marines. Theoretically or potantially Kong may stronger becouse of his bounty, but pratically or actually Akainu's showed us his powers at the war. He may even stronger than Aokiji (that is not certain).
