e of Tsunade's noteworthy possessions was an amulet that belonged to her grandfather, which is said to be valuable enough to "buy three gold mines and the mountains on top of them" as stated by Jiraiya. On her brother, Nawaki's, twelfth birthday, Tsunade gave the amulet to him in the hopes that it would help him achieve his dream of becoming Hokage. The next day, Nawaki died as one of the many casualties of the war going on at the time, and the amulet was returned to Tsunade's possession. Sometime afterwards, Tsunade fell in love with a man named Dan, who also wanted to become Hokage. As a sign of her affection and in the hopes that it would help him achieve his goal, Tsunade gave him the amulet as well. Dan too would go on to die a bloody death during the course of the war, once again returning the amulet to her possession.

With the deaths of the two she loved the most, Tsunade came to lose faith in the title of Hokage, believing that only fools would want such a position. With these changes of ideals, Tsunade left Konoha with Dan's niece, Shizune, taking the latter in as her apprentice.

the thing with naruto that the necklace responded perfectly with his chakra N do u remember in the manga were the 1st hokage could control any living bijuuu but he shared dem out as a act of peace n if naruto unlock the power den the 9tails is like a pet to naruto or the other bijuuu's

Cool points, and yeah, i cant believe no ones made the connection until now, narutos chakra is similar to the 1st hence why the necklace doesnt kill him.

Logically that is why narutos chakra can deal with the kyubii, because everyone else said "how does he survive it inside himself?"

Its his chakra! similar to the 1sts!!

I never thought naruto would be able to control the kyubii, but now with this info, HELL YEAH.

even better is if akatsuki think "...ah...8 will do" LOL, and naruto can just take control of them and akatsuki is screwed.

Or maybe the power come's from the amulet, and then by absorbing the amulet's power, he can keep the power from the amulet even if he takes it off, and then when he takes it off and notice's he was just as good before he took it off, he will think wow i had the power all along in myself, even though it was still actually from the amulet.

i think you are correct if you see when sasuke goes inside naruto and sees the kyuubi, naruto did not have the necklace on and it looks like kishi is focusing on the necklace on the floor. i think that is why the 1st was able to fight the EMS from madara because somehow the necklace protected him from madara and amplified his power to control the bijjus.

i've wondered for a while now if naruto were related to the 1st some how but i'm not sure the necklace lady-T gave increases his own power. i say it's just fate. the others that wore the charm weren't meant to be hokage. yamoto is a descendant of the 1st and the amulet allows him to suppress the kyuubi's chakra but that's between yamoto and the amulet, it doesn't mean naruto is a descendant of the first. if the amulet were on a different jinchuuriki i think it would still enhance yamoto's ability to suppress it's chakra.
