nah DBZ will always be my favourite
The following is about the anime, not manga.
My favorite (The best anime for me): Death Note
Classic: DBZ
The world: One Piece
Naruto for sure! Then...One Piece!
One Piece fans...don't deserve to join NB. U_U
How come everyone on here has only seen Naruto, One Piece, and DBZ? I shouldn't say that's all you guys have seen, but if you really think those are the best anime's ever hten I can tell you don't leave your anime comfort zone much. NO one is even mentioning the other greats, here are some that are some other mainstream ones for you to consider.
Trigun
Samurai Champloo
Cowboy Bebop
Ever heard of any of these? They're epic. Try something new.
Seen Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop, but I wouldn't say any of them scale up to DBZ or One Piece for the sole reason because they aren't very long.
You cannot compare a 30 episode long series to a 600 episode long series.
You can, but the result will be very inaccurate.
I'm not saying its easy, but creating a 30 episode anime is much easier than creating a 700 + episodes long one. The quality of the 30 episode long is gonna be better per episode, but if you look at the overall entertainment each anime provides, the 700 episode long is gonna be better.
Just because an anime is long doesn't mean it's better. I'm big fan of DBZ myself and Naruto of course but the problem with series that are hella long is that IMO they get out of hand. I had to give up on OP for that reason even though I was in love with it, had to stop Naruto too for a while. All they do is just continue to dodge the overlaying conflict that got the series started and the one single thing allows for the series to keep going. I mean any of these series you can pick up at any point, watch 5-10 episodes, and have a pretty good grasp on what's happening. It gets redundant what you want to know what's going to happen and you like the characters so you keep watching. Doesn't make it better, just repetitive.
It's like comparing a short story to Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter books.
In my opinion, as long as the author keeps up the good work, the longer the better. I can't say for One Piece yet, since its still only half way there, but I like it more than any other anime I've seen, because of all the laughs, chills and sad stuff it has given me.
