The bold part is inaccurate. The facts are that Madara unlocked his Rinnegan after he fought Hashirama and he died shortly after he unlocked it. No where it is said that he obtained the Rinnegan shortly after he fought Hashirama, just that it was after.

Can you read more carefully my post? If you read it carefully you will notice that the two have more than the negation making them apart.
What I'm pointing at is that we have nothing indicating that Madara obtained the Rinnegan SHORTLY after he fought Hashirama. As far as we know the gap between the two events could have been 50 years.

Do you have a problem with how logic works? I'm saying it was never stated in the manga that is was shortly after. We had no indication on how big the time window was. You can't ask me to prove that something was never said. My proof would be the entire Naruto manga volumes.

But if you don't believe me then I defy you to prove me wrong. It should be easy for you to find a single page stating that it was shortly after.
