this chap was pritty bland up until the last page. the last page managed to pull it up from a 2/5 to a 4/5. luffy's epicness = the chapter also climbing to epicness in my books.

Thats rather would be logical. But if Luffy accidently piss BM off, then what will happen? Luff is not a guy who is act according to commen sense, rather acts according to his own (empity but funny) mind.

It's going the "Reborn" route, test the waters with comedy, and if people will accept it or if the comedy is starting to get stale, try to reach the next level and make it into a battle manga.

It's also stated in Bakuman.

I thought that way too, but ST's are not warrior nor soldier but Pirates. the possible figth between Luffy and BM wouldn't be funny at all if it hapen right now.

I had to double-check your post to make sure I understood it correctly. Anyway, there is no guarantee that Luffy vs Big Mam, if it will ever happen, is gonna happen right now. The comedy is sure to not disappoint us though, don't worry.
