Nowhere in the manga is it stated that they are related, if anything kushina would of said so when she was talking to naruto.. The symbols show they are of the uzuamki clan, and if she was mito's daughter then how come when kushina came to the leaf she was an old lady? And wouldn't that make her older then tsuande as well.... Which she isn't since J-man taught the fourth hokage and she was the same age as the fourth.

mito and kushina are related because they are BOTH uzumaki....uzumaki have been known to have red hair. That in no way means they are mother-dughter or grandmother daughter.

It's possible but very unlikely, she came from the uzumaki village and was chosen to be the next host because of her chakra.



OT: The uzumaki have always been gifted with great chakra reserves and life force. So any uzumaki is ideal to become a host because of those two traits.

Lets see, someone who could control the beasts(first hokage), a host (mito), and another host(kushina), then another host (naruto) after that. Only thing I see is that they all had the nine tails at some point. :|

i haven't seen any proof, but their is evidence leading up to me believing this(for now). and kishi showed mito,kushina, and naruto on one page, so it would make alot of since imo, it would be a nice twist.​

There's already been a lot of opportunities to build a connection between the Senju and Naruto but Kishi hasn't done it as of yet, so I doubt he's going to reveal a relation in the future. To be honest it would kind of be overkill with the people Naruto is related to.
