That's a few concepts...
_________________________________________________________________
Ninja: Ninja are the people in Narutoverse who have the ability to mould an energy known as chakra to perform various tasks. These tasks can range from walking on water, to walking up walls, to spitting fireballs. Ninja's are often physically fit and able to run at high speeds, jump to great heights, and throw projectiles a great distance and with much force.

Chakra: Chakra is an "internal energy" in the Narutoverse, which grants the ninja who posses it the ability to perform various tasks, such as creating images in one's mind, bringing objects or creatures from a different dimension or space to theirs, or any other I have listed above. Most of the time, for a ninja to be able to properly use chakra, they must use handseals to mould the energy correctly. Some ninja have the ability to mould chakra in specific manners to controls bugs, spit lava, or even tap into an inner demon within themselves which has it's own energy known as chakra.

Ninjutsu: Ninjutsu is an art ninja have learned which uses chakra to perfom tasks otherwise impossible without chakra. Ninjutsu takes the form of pure chakra being manipulated (such as the Rasengan) or being moulded into a specific element (such as Katon). Unless otherwise stated, when the word "ninjutsu" is used, it normally refers to the use of chakra without any modifications, such as an elemental touch, or messing with one's mind.

Genjutsu: Genjutsu is an art ninja have learned which uses chakra to get into a target's mind, and affect any of their five senses. Genjutsu is usually initiated through vision, though any of the five senses can be used to begin genjutsu.

Taijutsu: Taijutsu is hand-to-hand combat used by ninja when they want to reserve their chakra, or are running low on it. Most of the time, taijutsu doesn't require chakra, which makes it great for the chakraless Rock Lee. The Eight Inner Gates allow the user to go beyond their own limits, and perform taijutsu with greater force, speed, and fluency.

Kenjutsu: Kenjutsu is the art of using swords to attack one's enemies. Like taijutsu, most of the time it does not require chakra, making it great for when a ninja is running low, or simply wants to reserve it. The Samurai from the Land of Iron are renown for their kenjutsu abilities, and Iado (I think), the art of unsheathing a sword, striking one's opponent, and resheathing. A skilled enough kenjutsu user can do this so fast handseals are useless, forcing one's opponent to rely on tai or kenjutsu.

Elements: There is more than 200 elements known today, but the main elements reconized in the Narutoverse are based off of the Greek Elements; Water, Earth, Air, and Fire. The greeks had begun studies on the states of matter with their "elements", having liquid (water), solid (earth), gaseous (air), and plasma (fire). By adding energy (lightning) to the common four, the Narutoverse has their five elements.

Elemental Ninjutsu: Elemental ninjutsu is the art of moulding chakra specifically in the form of an element (water, fire, earth, air, lightning) for various purposes. Elemental ninjutsu appears to be more common than regular ninjutsu, as more ninja use elemental attacks than pure chakra attacks, mind attacks, or chakraless attacks. Elemental ninjutus can be used to perform tasks anywhere from manipulating pre-existing elements (ie. Kirin), to summoning the element for further use (ie. Tobirama's ability to draw water from nowhere).

If I had an inadiquet description on any of these, I can re-word it. I did all of these without an outside source, so I can try again, if need be.

Hum...not bad however, some other things need to be added.

Chakra: the combination of both the spiritual and the physical energies in a sentient being. Its passively created and flows throughout the body through a chakra circulatory system.

Ninjutsu: all is correct except 2 things missing. Ninjutsu is produced through the use of 2 principles: Shape and Nature manipulations. Through shape you give your chakra form and through nature you give it characteristics. Don't think of nature in such a literal way. Its more like, for example, if you produce a clone, nature manipulation is what allows the clone to possess the same characteritiscs (nature) as you. Something around those lines

Genjutsu: illusionary techniques in which the user makes the enemy experience illusions through the manipulation of his chakra flow. It may or may not require direct sensory access. I can be simply performed with hand seals and nothing more.

Taijutsu: Rock Lee has chakra, otherwise why would he open his EIG? o_O Rock Lee is simply incapable of molding chakra to perform jutsu. Every sentient being has chakra. Chakra is the life-force that drives sentient beings and it powers our body. Taijutsu is passively powered by chakra. The difference is that you don't need to mold chakra to use Taijutsu. You can however, focus chakra into given parts of your body to enhance tainjutsu by enhancing your strength. You can also add Ninjutsu to taijutsu (like the raikage does) producing Nintaijutsu.

Sorry about my taijutsu mis-understanding.

Nope, no questions! I think I got it (when I first got into Naruto, I spent a lot of time on the Narutowiki). :D

Ok then, if there are no questions, shall we continue?

Now, you want to be trained in fire. Can you please, in the greatest detail possible, explain me:

a) It's properties as an element

b) Best use for fire techniques

c) Would you consider fire release defensive or offensive (or maybe a balance between both). Why?

d) What are the elemental weaknesses and why?

e) What are the elemental strengths and why?

a) Fire, as an element, is a raw energy used mostly for attacking purposes. It is mostly created and manipulated through the mouth/throat area, as in breathing fire, and it rarely uses an outside fire source for jutsu. Its elemental strengths and weaknesses are wind and water, respectively.

b) Fire style is best used either in combination with wind style to enhance its strength, as a direct attack, or as a distraction to take ones opponent's attention away from an incoming attack with its bright light, intense heat, and often fatal implication.

c) Fire release is mostly an offensive force due to the fact that it doesn't have a physical form in which it can form a proper barrier against incoming attacks for defensive purposes. Its burning, raw energy form is perfect attacking ones opponent, or creating a bright distraction.

d) Fire is weak against water, as water takes away a flames oxygen, can even distribute the material that's burning so far that it can no longer sustain the flame, and can cool down the temperature of the burning material to a point where there is not enough heat for a fire to thrive.

e) Fire is strong against wind, as oxygen is required for a flame to burn, and wind style would only fuel a flame.

Excellent.

Now for basic information of ranks:
A-rank fire vs C-rank water
Fire will continue weakened and all the water will evaporate creating steam.
A-rank fire vs B-rank water
The fire will be extinguished, but all the water will have evaporated.
A-rank fire vs A-rank water
The fire is extinguished, some water will evoparate, but the water will continue.
A-rank fire vs S-rank water
The fire will be completely extinguished, the water will continue with some water and momentum lost.

B-rank fire vs C-rank wind
Fire will consume the wind, and continue on almost unscathed.
B-rank fire vs B-rank wind
Fire will consume the wind, the fire will lose some momentum and power.
B-rank fire vs A-rank wind
Fire and wind will cancel each other out, depending on the techniques used, it may create some smoke.
B-rank fire vs S-rank wind
Fire is extinguished and wind will continue weakened.

Note:
1) Ranking is very important, but ranking isn't everything in a battle. Common sense should be an important role fight.
2) The angle in which fire is shot against wind would depend in what happens with the jutsu. If for example, you and your clone shoot almost simultaneously B-rank fire and B-rank wind, you will create an A-ranked fire+wind combo. If your opponent uses a B-rank wind technique against you, and you respond with a B-rank fire, your fire technique will not absorb the wind and become stronger, but lose momentum and power and lower it's rank.

Thinking: Where did that come fro- O_O CARRY YOU!?!?!?

Saying: "Yes Senpai!"

*I take a few steps back, turn around, and then take a running start at you. I grab you as if it were football near the waist, but hold on and sling you over my left shoulder. I continue to run untire I reach the rocky side of the volcano, and then I continue to move as quickly and swiftly as I can over the upwards sloping terrain.
indentAfter an hour or so, we reach the top and I set you down on the edge of the volcano. Then I look down into the poot of molten stone, imagining how hot it must be to melt rocks...*

Oh that was fun... I mean, yes padawan, that was an important training in order to get you tired in order to relax your muscles U^U.

Now, as you see, we are in the top of the volcano. Please, take a seat 3 inches from the border of the volcano, facing the lava. I want you to meditate, then, when your mind is serene, sense the heat and warmth from the fire.

Thinking: Only three inches...? O_O

*I walk towards the edge of the volcano, and sit down a mere 3 inches from drop into a bath of liquid rock. I cross my legs and close my eyes, slowing my breathing in an attempt to enter a meditative state. As in become calmer and more serene, I begin to take in the heat from the volcano, experiencing the wave-like "flow" of the heat, and the unexpected ripples of energy comming up from the ever-flowing magma far below.*

Ok, now explain me what emotions does the heat bring upon you?
How is your body feeling?
Do you consider fire a destructive power or a power to bring birth?

Heat brings frustration and anger, making me uncomfertable and making me want to explode in rage. My blood is boiling!

My body is feeling warm, overly so, and wants to get out of the heat. As the heat 'rolls', so to my body wants to roll out of it with the motions.

Fire is most definatly a destructive power. U_U

Fire is both destructive and sustains life. When fire is controlled it gives us heat to stay warm in the winter, cook our food, etc. Though, when it becomes out of control, it is able to take many lives. It is a cycle of life.

Now that you have an idea of what fire is and how it feels, channel your chakra through out all your body while you add that "heat" into it. Harmonize your chakra with the element and do not let it go out of control. Concentration is the key to learn this elemental affinity.

*I focus my chakra in my body, letting it flow, but keeping a steady rhythm to it. As my chakra flows, I focus the rhythm more and more, focusing the chakra itself. I begin to focus on the heat rolling up my body along with the chakra flowing within my body. I begin to attempt to focus the heat and my chakra simutaniously, trying to heat the chakra to harmonize it with the element. I keep my concentration centered, trying to keep heat contained while filling all of the chakra. I sit in my meditative stance for a while, focusing the chakra and the heat, concentrating on not letting anything get out of control.*
