Obito has finally realized comradeship and sacrifice before dying. There is no point of him going for revenge. also it is clear that tobi fought the 4th.

True, loss of the eye is not the same as crushed. come to think of it, it is probably easy for kakashi to break open the rock when obito lay there crushed, but he did not since there is no hope of rescuing that part of the body. (or maybe he is just afraid of the whole cave collapsing)

Care to elaborate how naruto can identify him without the nine tails?

There was no special skill behind and now you think after Izuna lost both eyes he managed to implant Madara his own eyes?

I am saying it is possible that madara brother has the skill and more chance to know the location of madara wherever he lay dying to go and steal them

We also never saw if Obito really died. A few month ago everyone thought Madara died direct after the fight against Hokage.

are you suggesting they should have opened the grave to check if he is really dead? perhaps put a water bullet or two just to be sure ?

I don't know about the stolen eyes theory. if I am right Madara should have obtain rinnegan before his death, so why Tobi doesn't have Rinnegan? And if your theory would be true, why does Madara know Nagato???

Madara stated that he awakened the Rinnegan shortly before his death. so all tobi had to do is get the eyes after he died and he has both. Did you ever wonder why tobi was the boss of Nagato when clearly it is stated the sage of six paths is the strongest. Tobi had the rinnegan to keep even Nagato in check. it could also be possible the stolen eyes gets struck in one type not be able to switch like madara does.

It is also possible that tobi is the original zetsu we know that the white zetsu is something like a mokuton clone but we know nothing about the black zetsu and in tobis fight against konan we saw that his LEFT side was black maybe it was just shadow but it could have been a hint from kishi and we know that zetsus RIGHT side is black and and it has been said that zetsu was from konoha too. And we all know that it´s not so difficult to transplate a sharingan. The only piece that doesn´t fit in is that tobis right side is a normal human and why he would split himself in two :?

humm good point. I wonder why Tobi was so relax at Kabuto's summoning. Tobi wasn't in fear he said that beating him would only weaken him. He knew Madara and whas surprised to see the edo version. He probably never found him himself. I don't know who Tobi might be, some Obito theories are plausible the same goes for yours. Maybe he is a unknow imortal shinobi or something.

What i have been thinking is this: When naruto was facing Madara for the first time (his clone) the 9tails said he knew that chakra it was the real Madara. When naruto and tobi collied and fought the 9tails didn't notice or said something. So it couldn't be someone who tried to use him before because he would recognized him. Why didn't he notice the chakra if it was the same guy who fought Minato?

It is highly possible that the 9tails was referring to the eyes with which it got controlled and the chakra associated with them. Madara's eyes are valuable in using the 9tales against first hokage, then against the village. probably the person does not matter. also extended usage of the eyes are only possible for uchicha clan members not for some unknown guy.

Tobi is clearly the boss of zetsu. Also zetsu is highly unlikely to being an Uchicha, he is some kind of plant. Tobi does not use any of the zetsu technique. Imagine a army of zetsus with sharigan and rinnegan. They would take over the world.

Obito could be Tobi "Tobito!" But think about it, his eye was given to kakashi, They can both warp objects with there sharingan, the only two people that can do that. When obito was being crushed by rocks, he could have activated something that let him phase through objects, and teleport (the same way tobi does) Afterwards he could have seen the death of the girl he loved and got angry at the world making him want to take it over with the moon's eye plan. He then could have joined itatchi in the slaughter of the uchiha clan, saying that he was madara, and he could have taken another sharingan eye and implanted it into himself. Then he took all the other sharingan eyes to make sure he never went blind. As for the nagato theory, hell if I know he was probably lying.

I don't know if anyone notice this but Madara has not used his teleportation jutsu, or whatever it has called

Tobi uses it all the time but the edo Madara hasn't

Madara was known for it because the 4th Hokage even assumed Tobi was Madara because of Tobi teleportation jutsu.

Does anyone have any idea on why? Think on it why would edo Madara need to activate his Sasuno'o when he can just simply phase through attacks with his teleportation jutsu?

I haven't seen anyone ever comment on this

Kishi really does know how to mind f*** us completely, everytime he gives us an answer, he gives us 50 more questions at the exact same time to his new answers.

I can think of like 15 questions easy at the top of my head that isn't answered!

Here is my prediction of Tobi,

Tobi is basically a student of Madara like kabuto was to Orochimaru.... that is why he knows everything about Madara... furthermore I think Tobi had joined madara when madara left konoha.... Tobi seems to the research type who initially followed madara while researching on the sage of the six path... madara wanted to be the king of the world and hence the Moon's Eye plan and tobi was helping ... Next event was madara's and hashirama's fight ... here tobi saved madara maybe using zetsu technology from the dna that madara obtained from hashirama... later rinnegan manifested in madara due to some unknown conditions being met.... but my guess is that a lot of chakra is required to maintain the rinnegan... so probably when madara got the rinnegan he was old and weak ... so near madara's death time, tobi and madara planned to transplant the rinnegan into a uzumaki (nagato) and later revive madara using gedo rinne tensei ... Tobi waited for nagato to grow and in the meantime he himself became Madara to gain importance (Power of the Name)... Nagato later started akatsuki under the advisement of Madara to capture the bijuu's ... but Nagato died in Konoha without getting Kyuubi and Hachibi...hence the war and we know after that... I think Tobi didn't really want to bring back madara (or else he could have done that before kabuto did) and wanted to execute the moon eye's plan himself... therefore he is unhappy that kabuto brought madara to life... of course in all this theory Izuna Uchiha can still fit in place of tobi... but I think since Izuna is shown in coffin and all, maybe he is dead...

I actually really find this theory quite interesting. That actually fits in really well when you think about it. However I doubt any theory anyone makes will be true, Kishi is a very talented at mind f**king everyone lol

First of all, I must commend the author for creating so many redirects for the identity if Tobi. Whether he is a formally introduced character, a new character or a Frankenstein ninja...its definitely fun to speculate. After giving it some more thought, there are two other characters that haven't really been discussed that may be suspects. First is Shinsui, who's body hasn't been recovered. All we know about him is that Itachi looked up to him as an older brother and that he was a great gengustsu user. He also had the ability to flicker(as stated in Wiki). We also don't know his family history...possibly directly related to Madara or even Obito(could be his brother). The second suspect could be....**drum role please**...Fugaku Uchiha(Itachi and Sasuke's father). He was the head of the village and the leader of their special police force. He had to be a beast in order to hold those positions and he is the father of two of the strongest characters. If anyone knew about Obito's and Shinsui's where abouts or missions, it would be him. It is possible that his genjutsu was so powerful that he was able to fake his death by Itachi while advising him as Madara. Fugaku was also absent during the attack of the nine tails on the village years ago. He also sent Itachi to spy on the hidden leaf for reasons unknown. He also very protective of Sasuke for reasons unknown. Also being the leader of a village and not given the title of Kage would piss me off too. Most of the time in mystery movies, the killer is always the one you would least expect...so who knows!! It would be a real twist if Tobi... is really Sasuke's mom lol!!!
