I meant, you don't have to be inside the tornado at all times. You can release the tornado of water and still manipulate it.

*i channel my chakra into the earth and perform the seals while turning it into water, activating the jutsu. i then have the water burst out and violently form a vortex around me that spins at high speeds. i then have the tornado rise, making it a lot taller. then, using my chakra, i have the vortex move forward towards the clone. as it does, i have the spot where the water would touch me weaken and flow like regular water without affecting the rest of the vortex, which causes the vortex to pas me harmlessly. as it is heading towards the clone, i have the spot strengthen again, returning it to its first form. i manipulate the vortex to hit the clone, scoop him up about a foot in the air and kill him*

It shouldn't scoop him up but just bash him really hard. Anyways, it's okay.

This jutsu allows you to make a single handseal and as you perform it, you spew out an immense amount of water, enough to flood a large forest, and once released, it will crash on the ground and rebound into the air, causing large waves. After the waves have crashed, you can form the water into a giant orb. You can also ride the waves similar to the weaker version of this jutsu.

This next jutsu allows you to release a single shark that will normally drag the target underwater where there will be a seemingly endless amount of sharks that will attack them. Once the sharks have swarmed the target, the water will explode.

Use the clone in the orb of water and use a single shark at first to drag the clone into a swarm of large sharks that will storm around him and as they gather around him, they will explode in a large water explosion and at that time, you will release the orb. You can do this jutsu by releasing an immense amount of chakra throughout the water and splitting the chakra into pockets of chakra, most are generally controlled but one will be controlled especially by you. You will manipulate that single shark to drag the clone into the group of sharks and create a watery explosion.

It's not a blade originating from your hand. It's like swinging a sword and releasing a blast of water. Just swing your hand in one direction and release the water as a sharp blade of water that forms a crescent. There should be no thrusting.
