Kakashi could be better than Jiraiya, because Jiraiya is quite old and also Kakashi is 2 generations younger than him and Kakashi did say (Dunno when exactly) that every generation will be stronger than the next.
Also, Kakashi is a GREAT ninja, he's against Pain and is doing well considering its Pain. Kakashi isn't even Hokage but he's very strong, I'm hoping for Tsunade to be at least twice as strong as Kakashi. I dont want Kakashi to die but with a full scale attack from Pain it's just realistic that one of the main characters dies

True, Kakashi has the potential to be stronger than Jman but he's not there yet. Jiraiya was old, but not that old. But if Kakashi doesnt die then he should get stronger than Jman. well i think kakashi is really going to die, im a kakashi fan too, but it seems pein as the advantage.
i have my facts based on histugaara translations, in the last page they have " a hero falls..." well i don't see any other reason or meaning to this.

OK, usually I stay in the shadows for while and read what everyone is posting. Then I come out and post my opinions, and clear up some of the things that people talk about.
1) According to people saying that Kishi stated something about Kakashi having a "dark blue" future in an interview. By that Kishi didnt mean that the nail that Pein is throwing at Kakashi is going to hit his Dark Blue mask. It's a figure of speech meaning, that Kakahis has a kinda of bad future awaiting him. Black means evil, yellow would had meant a bright nice happy future. Come on guys, this is thought like in English in the 2nd grade.
2) For the last time, Naruto's "that jutsu" is not the RS, Naruto didn't even know he had wind elemental chakra when he was training under Jman, which is when Jman told him about "that jutsu".
3) The jutsu that Naruto is currently working on in secret could be RS though, but "that jutsu" and the jutsu Naruto is working on right now is not the same one. Naruto has never mentioned that he has been working on "that jutsu". I used to say he was, but when I re-read the manga I noticed that Naruto never says that he's working on "that jutsu". But I think it lies in the middle. Maybe he might, but like I said Naruto never said he was working on "that jutsu".
I guess I'm done with that... Next are my opinions.
I think Kakashi wont be able to dodge the nail completely, Im thinking he might get hit in one of the eyes, dont know which one. But I really cant say anthing else about it, according to the ending quote that states something like this "pay attention". Im guessing it might look like Kakashi gets hurt but it wont be as bad as we think. Naruto will keep training and we will see more of it. But I think the upcoming manga will be like that one from 2 weeks ago where nothing is really said, the fighting between Kakashi and Pein will continue, which i think someone will come to Kakashi's help. I think Tsunade will have a bigger role in the next manga and so will the rest of the rookie 6. Naruto will continue his training and just maybe we will see more of whatever he is working on.

Ok first of all 2 and 3 in your post are the same thing. You got a little longwinded in there
Second of all, I think "That Jutsu" is actually translated as "that power" but I don't want to bring that argument up.
Thirdly, the manga says "A hero falls", but it seems very unlikely that Kakashi is going to die from a nail and it also says "the last thing for Kakashi is"
So I take it that he gets hit in the eye (his normal one) and is essentially blind. In the future he will be blind except in extreme circumstances he uses his sharingan eye. This could serve the purpose of one character going blind and "a hero falls". However my new theory is Choji's dad jumped in the way and took the nail to the stomach, just like pain blocked kakashi right before that! The hero that falls is choji's dad, my personal prediction, it could be choji too I guess. In the last panel we are seeing someone elses blood splatter on kakashi.

The one with 9 eyes on it that they all stand around when extracting Jinchuriki. I think.
I would be really surprised if Kakashi was dead but not so surprised if he had lost his sharingan. But what was with that clifhanger?? I don't think kishi would just kill off kakashi without an explanation.......i think......i hope.

Pain's nail flies towards Kakashi. He closes his left eye and.. "Mangekyou Sharingan!"
He opens his eye again. The nail hangs just inches from his face. Pain still has his hands stretched out. Debris around them hangs still in the air.
Kakashi gets out of the rubble, but the blocks of concrete he lifted off of himself stay in a floating position for some reason.
"That I had to resort to this.."
He looks around himself. Sees the defeated ninja's around him. He looks at the two Pain bodies still standing. "At least I can take out two of them.."
He fires up Raikiri in both arms.
--- Samui's team ---
They are in front of a closed Konoha gate. Explosions and screams are heard beyond the gate.
Omoi: "Appears Konoha is having some troubles.."
Karui: "Hmm. Well we still have a message for the Hokage."
Omoi: "Hmpf."
Omoi jumps up on the wall and stands on top of it.
Karui: "Omoi! What is it?"
Omoi: "It's.. Akatsuki..!"
Karui jumps up on the wall as well and looks around Konoha.
Karui: "There!"
They look at a battlefield with Kakashi still in trouble and Pain still holding the nail.
Omoi: "Shit! Let's go help him, 't least that'd make a good first impression.."
They jump down and form some seals.
--- Kakashi vs. Pain ---
Deva Pain coughs up blood. "I didn't.. expect you could use.. this kind of jutsu.."
Kakashi stands behind him with both arms inside Deva's body.
Deva Pain: "Your Sharingan's ability.. a time-space jutsu.."
Kakashi: "Not just that. It can see chakra, too."
Pain: "..."
Kakashi: "I've noticed the other body couldn't dodge earlier because of my rai-kagebunshin."
Kakashi: "It disturbed the chakra recieving metal that you have embedded in yourself."
Pain: "!!"
Kakashi: "So.. now you're disabled.. I can do this."
A kagebunshin of Kakashi appears in front of him and grabs two of the black metal piercings.
Kakashi: "This is the end of this body."
He rips out the chakra receiver in Pain's arms.
Pain collapses.
Omoi: "I dunno what you did just now.."
Kakashi: "!!"
Omoi: "But.. damn impressive.. copy ninja Kakashi."
Kakashi turns around.
Kakashi: "You're.."
Omoi holds the nail that Pain fired at Kakashi earlier.
Omoi: "We are here to bring a message to the Hokage."
Karui and Samui appear behind Kakashi.
Samui: "We took care of that one over there. What'cha wanna do with these?"
Samui holds a hand full of black chakra receivers. Behind them is the 3-faced Pain's body.
Kakashi: "..."

Sounds like a good thought.... just hope chouji or his dad is fast enuff for the rescue.... Could easily be gai too tho....

The fat dude pein got aint that impressive...

And pein couldnt eve wipe out jiriya toads and he didnt even summon tha top toad....

No way pein has showed me hes a great shinobi....
I know sum ppl hate to hear it, but hes not to impressive yet.....
If i was 6 ppl i would look good in battle too.....
He fights like a scared * * u do tha math....
Jiriya almost killed him...
Hes scared of kakashi in the long run.....
Pein the great dude wit the best eye doujutsu doesnt seem tuff to me at all....

i like the idea how the lightning attacks effect the charka receivers, that might be the way to defeat pein.

thats cause itachi let him how of it, he was just using it a way to communicate with naruto without anyone hearing what he was saying.

yea i was thinking that too but he was already bleeding pretty bad from the head....Why didnt anybody considered that pain could have hit him but it was a grazing-shot cuz kakashi moved his head.
On the pic we definitely can see blood running down his chin.

Naruto cant get out of genjutus on his own right now...
Espicially if its a high level user like itachi....
Which lead me to say who has ever got out of itachis genjutsu..
