Dude never did make up what if and if he was in his prime bec a healthy Nagato was shown has an edo and he soloed two jinchurikis while standing in one spot the entire time.
for the last time dude Nagato was battled konoha and many ninja and also frog summons while they all had knowledge of his move and he still put a beating on all of them.
Minato is strong but not on Nagato level.

you see actually at that battle minato was able to accomplish not 1 nor 2 but lots of accomplishment in few intense moments of battles which would have took a normal ninja to think for years.
see what minato achieved that day.
1.he saved his kid and wife from tobi(later died beacuse of complication of birth)
2.he teleported kyubi from battle field to a far away place and later sealed kyubii
3.he defeated tobi and made him run for his life
4.he knew tobi will attack again in future so he sealed half of kyubii powers in naruto so that he would be able to face tobi in future with the help of 9tail fox chakra and it really happend just like that .what a foresightness
5.Man this guy defeated mighty opponents not only from his sublime technique but also from his sharp as sword brain dude.
