So I could change lets say... a water blast to look like a fire blast? But from what I can tell, the only good use for genjutsu is by creating a CJ. As most cannons are short ranged. Or lazy fist ;)
Lol for example. The deal is that its short range so good luck on having time to perform and attack and change its appearance. you can however, change your appearance for example. ^^

Ok! as you have enough description powers i'll do the next in a different method.

I'll make a small explanation if you have a question you ask it. Also, for each please tell me how would you use it actually. Try to analyze the jutsu by stating pros, cons, etc.

This one is actually useful in taijutsu. You disappear into a swarm of sakura petals. ^^

(Genjutsu: Kahen Tonsou) - Illusion Technique: Flower Petal Escape
Rank: D
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points:N/A
Description: The user vanishes in a whirlwind of sakura petals.

with this one, you change the perception of your enemy regarding a paper bomb. He'll see a servant or familiar of your choice but in reality its an explosion tag/paper bomb ^^

(Genjutsu: Kasumi) - Illusion Technique: Servant
Rank: D
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points:20
Description: An illusionary servant that is really a paper bomb that once in range of the opponent will explode.

Strong points
  • All genjutsu are used as a distraction. But this one is quite good for that job
Weak points
  • Can't really mess around with any other illusions. Its pretty simple, you vanish into sakura pedals. But this doesn't necessarily have to be considered a weak point.
Combinations-strategies
After vanishing into a swam of sakura pedals, I would perform the silent homicide technique, to sneak from behind on their blind spot, finishing them off with a kunai slicing their throat open.
__

My only question for this technique is about the tag. Is it attacked to something like a kunai? Or is the tag simply being carried by the wind towards the target. Or do I place it with my own hand?

Strong points
  • If used successfully, it can blow your opponent up.
Weak points
  • The range in which it can be performed
Combinations-strategies

For this technique I would make the servant be an exact replica of myself. Making my target believe I made a clone that's heading towards him. While in reality the real me is back away as I detonate the tag, blowing my target up.

If a tag, then it has to be added to a kunai. If a paper bomb...well a paper bomb is a ball that your throw. A ball made out of paper tags.

Questions ^^

No more questions ^^ that was actually my fault for misreading. I knew what a paper bomb was :p but for some reason I was thinking of tag.

One useful genjutsu. You produce an illusion of various attackers that confuse and attack the enemy. you can create them with some liberty. for example zombies, enemy ninjas, copies of yourself, etc etc.

(Genjutsu: Kasumi Juusha) - Illusion Technique: Mist Servant
Rank: D
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points:N/A
Description:A Genjutsu technique that creates false attackers to delay and confuse the enemy. Though these servants are not real,
the actual ninja is able to remain hidden and throw kunai and shuriken matching the movements of the servants. This makes it appear
the false servants are capable of attacking. When the enemy attempts to attack the servant, they will merely disrupt the servants illusion body but not destroy it.

The name is actually quite misleading. You put your enemy to sleep after he sees a whirlwind of spinning leaves.

(Magen: Narakumi) - Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing
Rank: D
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points:N/A
Description: Causes the enemy to see a whirlwind of leaves and a spinning world that puts the enemy to sleep for one turn.

Strong points
  • Nice liberty on what illusion you can create
  • Great distraction
  • No hand seals
Weak points
  • Depending on what illusion you choose to create it can easily be noticed as a genjutsu
  • Its casting range
Combinations-strategies For this technique I would illustrate my servants as a huge flock of crows that "attack" my target. While the real me is throwing a torrent of shuriken towards the target caught in the genjutsu. My reason in picking a flock of crows would be because its something that we've seen happen in the anime/manga so the opponent can mistake it for a summoning technique or a ninjutsu technique that we've seen used by itachi to create a distraction. Now while the target is confused by the distracting crows and/or trying to figure out if its actually real, I'd be able to successfully land my attack.
__

Strong points
  • If the opponent hasn't been trained in genjutsu he can mistake this for a possible wind technique manipulating the pedals.
Weak points
  • Requires two hand seals, now this is not always considering a weak point depending when you use it.
  • Very straight forward technique, not much can be manipulated in the illusion.
  • Its casting range
Combinations-strategies Seeing as it requires hand seals and its given range, I would only use this technique at the start of a match if we are short-ranged or if a clone can successfully sneak up on my target. If my opponent is successfully caught in the genjutsu there are a million ways to finish the combination to finish him off.

Question - How can we counter against genjutsu if we get caught in it at the start of a match, if we simply fall asleep?

Notice that you first see a spiraling vortex of leaves before falling asleep. The falling asleep doesn't happen that fast and you can say "As leaves surround me and i suddenly feel sleepy, i know something isn't quite right and knowing this technique i know it must be a genjutsu, so immediately i disturb my own chakra, releasing me from the genjutsu *kai* " Or something like that. Since its not that fast to put you to sleep you have time to defend. Its like when you use a giant ball of fire against your enemy. As big as and powerful as it can be you can still find time to defend against it between the time your enemy uses it and the time it hits you.

Questions? ^^

Now, C-Ranks! Kai you have already learned right?

Next ones:

This one is quite easy. You trap your enemy in a illusion were they are lost and wonder walking around for hours in a labyrinth type illusion

(Genjutsu: Kori Shinchuu) - Illusion Technique: Sly Mind Affect
Rank: C
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points:N/A
Description: Traps the opponent in a illusion were they wonder lost and in a circle for hours.

A torture illusion, were you torture your enemies mind to make him give out information. Now, this works by lowering your opponents will power. Also, because of the weak description you have tons of liberty to use this in unique ways.

(Genjutsu: Jinmon) - Illusion Technique: Interrogation
Rank: C
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points:30
Description: A illusion used to force the enemy to give out info by torturing them in there minds.

Well this one is quite simple but mind that it doesn't do any damage actually.

(Genjutsu: Jigoku Gouka) - Illusion Technique: Hell Fire
Rank: C
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points:N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion were the opponent sees a huge ball of fire descending from the sky and enveloping its target. The victims of the genjutsu will believe they are being engulfed by a torrent of fire and flee their location for safety.

Awesome :3 & yeah we finished Kai.^^

Strong points
  • I believe it gives you a liberty on which type of labyrinth you can come up with.
  • If used correctly it can be a good distraction
Weak points
  • The range in which it can be performed
Combinations-strategies The way I would use this technique is by making the labyrinth look like its made of of earth style. This would most likely cause the opponent to think I'm using an earth style technique like maybe moving earth core where I changed his surroundings. Now thinking on that it would cause him to use a lighting style technique to take care of it, so I'd follow it up with a water style technique to try and electrocute him. Or simply use any other fast technique as he is trying to escape the genjutsu.

__

Strong points
  • Seeing as its a torture type illusion it would probably cause the action to be released from it a tad bit slower than normal.
Weak points
  • The range in which it can be performed
  • It can backfire if used incorrectly, meaning that he could notice the genjutsu right away and release from it, accordingly.
Combinations-strategies The way I would torture my target would be by making him believe that he is strapped down on a metal chair with barbed wire binding all his body preventing him the use of his hands to inflict damage on himself to be released. Seeing as its a low ranked genjutsu and his arms are binded, the target might want to use nagashi to get released out of the chair (because nowadays that's all people use to get out of close-range complications..). But seeing as its a "metal chair" he might want to re-think that.

__

Strong points
  • Nice technique to play around with if the right elements are used.
Weak points
  • The range in which it can be performed
  • Not much liberty towards creating the illusion, its pretty straight forward on its description.
Combinations-strategies As the opponent *thinks* a fireball is coming down on him, he will most likely use a water technique to counter that so I would either spike him while he is busy looking upward/trying to get out of the genjutsu. Or simply use a lighting technique.

Hope that was an okay description towards the techniques ^^

Very good! I hope you are considering on becoming a Sensei, you have the skill for it and you would be a good addition. Really.

Hum...one question we didn't cover (i like to break the training up with these and help you understand some additional points also), how long does a genjutsu last?

 I'm currently working on finishing tai/gen so that I could apply. But I still think I have a long way to go. I appreciate it though ^_^

As for the question, I would have to say until the illusion is released by the opponent or until what ever you are trying to illustrate is over. But I do know which ever the case may be its mostly a matter of seconds.

Depends actually. One thing though, don't forget, some illusions have a purpose. An explosion, a pain, etc etc. The illusion will end then. Any other illusion will remain until either released by you or your enemy. Regardless of rank, etc etc. That is what makes my lazy fist that amazing ^^

Questions before we continue?

I'm here for that mister! Now for the next ones:

I think this one is pretty self explanatory really.

(Konoha-Ryū: Yanagi) -Leaf Ninja Art: Willow
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 35
Description: The user waves their sword back and forth, which when seen by the target locks them in a genjutsu which causes them to hallucinate multiple waving arms. The movement resembles that of a willow tree blowing in the wind. With the enemy off guard, the user is free to cut them down.

Another one quite simple. Mind that as everything that is described is happening in the enemies mind, you can actually be doing whatever you like.

(Genjutsu: Ingemame Ketsugō sakkaku) - Illusion Technique String Bean Binding Illusion
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: Similar to Illusion Technique: Tree Binding Death, where the user first disappears, while the target sees several bean vines growing from the ground. These vines bind the target body, lifting them into the air. Then a bean pod rises from the ground to reveal the user, ready to stike.

Another simple one. You make your enemy see you as if you were dissolving into a puff of sakura petals and renders the enemy fast asleep after that. The genjutsu is actually worded wrong. It should say "An illusion that in which the user makes the enemy see him dissolve into sakura petals before falling asleep" or something like that.

(Genjutsu: Kahen Dizorubu) - Illusion Technique: Flower Petal Dissolve
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points:N/A
Description: This illusion makes the user think there being dissolved into sakura petals and renders them fast asleep bound in this illusion.

Pretty cool considering I just started learning kenjutsu xD

Strong points
  • VERY great distraction
  • At first it can be very hard to tell its a genjutsu technique
Weak points
  • I can't think of a weakness for this one aside from its liberty. I wish we could play around more with the illusion. But for this one the range isn't a weak point because we could follow it up with a kenjutsu attack since we are using the sword.
  • Its a low ranked genjutsu so if I try to do a short range attack with my sword, I could possibly get nagashi'd while the target is trying to escape the genjutsu >_>
Combinations-strategies With this technique I would definitely follow it up with a kenjutsu attack, or a simply sword attack combination. One the sword is waved back and forth and the opponent is put into the genjutsu I would side step behind him and perform a horizantal slash through his back. Now seeing as the opponent knows I already have a sword in hand and that he was placed in a genjutsu due to the hands. He will be reacting very quickly so what ever I have planned has to be fast.

__

(Genjutsu: Ingemame Ketsugō sakkaku) - Illusion Technique String Bean Binding Illusion

Strong points
  • Seems like a pretty long genjutsu and by that I mean a few seconds xD
Weak points
  • Its very easily noticed as a genjutsu
  • The range in which it can be performed
Combinations-strategies I feel like the opponent would try and use a lighting technique to get out of this "binding" so I would follow it up by summoning a large amount of water above the targets head 10 meters above. And then possibly spike him from below as he is dealing with the water.

__

(Genjutsu: Kahen Dizorubu) - Illusion Technique: Flower Petal Dissolve

Strong points
  • A good illusion to perform a sneak attack
  • Pretty straight forward and simple
Weak points
  • Sakura pedals is highely known for genjutsus, so it would easily be noticed
  • The range in which it can be performed
Combinations-strategies For this one I would use (Bakuchi Tori Kuzu Oujou) – Gambling Bird Arrowroot Death. By bolting towards the target, I then hit him with my sword's handle causing him to enter a confused-like state due to the impact. I then deliver a few kicks all aimed at his abdomen, sending him flying into the air. (slightly not high up into the air upward) I then bolt towards his far off location where we both will meet. I would finish it off by delivering a final punch knocking him into the ground or a nearby tree.

Question - I believe we talked about this but I would just like to make sure 100%. Kai can release up to B rank genjutsu correct? And a technique like nagashi would a release a genjutsu up to its rank? So A?

Now seeing as the opponent knows I already have a sword in hand and that he was placed in a genjutsu due to the hands. He will be reacting very quickly so what ever I have planned has to be fast.

So A?
Excellent analisys. Actually, i have little to add. You noticed immediately how those jutsu could be useful and how to predict your enemy's counter and that is the amazing use of genjutsu. If you make an illusion of a falling water your enemy will try to use earth right? so you know you can follow that water with lightning. ^^ That is the supreme use of genjutsu. And you are doing it to perfection.

Second illusion: its noticeable as a genjutsu...but what if your enemy (who uses this) is a Wood user? ^^

Third one: Spot on. remember however that it takes some time for the enemy to fall asleep.

As for your question hereby goes the quote from the battle rules:

Genjutsu Release restrictions:

►When coming to release genjutsu techniques there are a few methods available that can help remove the affects. There basic of methods is through the appliance of pain for example stabbing oneself with a kunai in the leg can cause pain throughout the body and breaking genjutsu up to S rank level and Doujutsu up to A rank level. Members who posses sage modes are invulnerable to Genjutsu and doujutsu except Mangekyo level genjutsu. Bijuu who possess full control and of the rank of Kage are able to disrupt the chakra flow from the opponents Genjutsu. Techniques that produce a sufficient chakra surges thought the users body may disrupt genjutsu of the rank below the used technique for example Chidori Nagashi A rank lightning technique can disrupt genjutsu of up to B rank.
Note: Lip biting or biting of tounge doesn’t cause enough pain to break free from genjutsu so this method is unallowed, however biting tounge off completely could work but obviously without its risks.
As for kai, yes its assumed it only works up to B-Rank ^^

Oh nagashi up to B rank. Well that's good news for me, thanks ^_^

As for the wood user thing. It seems like great minds think alike ^^ I wanted to put it down but I decided not to because mokuton users aren't that common. Or I should say, I wouldn't be using mokuton in the near future so my opponent would know I don't have that ability. Although... realism wise he has no idea if he I can or can not use it right? :p

Depends. For example, if you have a normal male bio with no noticeable KG or with a covered face he won't be able to tell what abilities you possess until you actually show them. Its like when you perform 3 jutsu. You opponent sees and counters most of the time taking into account the 3rd jutsu also...but in reality he has no idea of what is coming his way right? ITs hard to explain to most RPears and very hard to have that actually be used.

Questions? ^^

Next ones if you are ready ^^

Simple enough illusion. A tree grows behind the opponent binding him as you appear unmerging from the tree to stab him with a kunai. Remember that this is all illusionary as you don't actually move from your spot. Your enemy will feel pain and that pain will be the thing to actually damage him through mental strain.

(Genjutsu: Jubaku Satsu) - Illusion Technique: Tree Binding Death
Rank: B
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:20
Damage Points:40
Description: Binds the user to a tree were the user then stabs them with a kunai.

The only cannon mid-range genjutsu. You through paper bombs at your enemy. However, the only thing he'll experience is the sensation and the illusion that he is sinking in the ground. As the paper bombs are thrown he actually sees them as butterflies heading his way. ^^

(Genjutsu: Chou Shinka) - Illusion Technique: Butter Fly Fire Works
Rank: A
Type:Supplementary/Attack
Range:Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:30
Damage Points:60
Description: Traps user in an illusion were they first think that they are sucked into he ground to shoulder height and then they see butterflies but they are really paper bombs that explode once the user puts the main seal on the enemies head.

Another sleeping illusion. This is quite slow acting but powerful enough to put a whole crowd to sleep. Good if used in combos to prevent countering or with your enemy restrained ^^

(Genjutsu: Nehan Shoja No Jutsu) - Illusion Technique: Temple Of Nirvana
Rank: A
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:30
Damage Points:N/A
Description: A slow acting illusion that can put a whole arena to sleep.

Lol sometimes reading a genjutsu's description I get confused because I think I'm supposed to do what it says on it. But in reality its all an illusion. It must be from all the ninjutsu/basic five training XD Don't worry though I'm fully aware that they are illusions and that is my time to act quickly and attack ^^

(Genjutsu: Jubaku Satsu) - Illusion Technique: Tree Binding Death

Strong points
  • Like we spoke of before, this could be looked at as a wood-style technique and thus I could take advantage of that.
  • The target is fully binded so getting out of it with the method of a kunai would be a no.
Weak points
  • Requires five hand seals
  • The range in which it can be performed
Combinations-strategies Judging by the rank of the technique being B-Rank, and the fact that the target is binded, trying to release from the genjutsu by causing pain via kunai is a no go. So my guess would be that my target would use nagashi to get out of it, simple reason is because his arms are binded. Now my best option would be to follow it up by using a water technique but we are short ranged from each other and that can cause myself to get electricuted as well. So taking in consideration that my target might be using nagashi (or lighting), I can follow up my combo my using a wind-style technique that can easily take care of the nagashi and cut my opponent to pieces.

(Genjutsu: Chou Shinka) - Illusion Technique: Butter Fly Fire Works

Strong points
  • It can be used from mid-range!
Weak points
  • Pretty straight forward technique, no liberty over the illusion.
Combinations-strategies I can't really come up with a good combination for this one, the whole placing the seal on the enemy is confusing me a bit. But if I really had to come up with something, I would follow up the paper bombs with a strong fire technique, because if the opponent is released from the genjutsu fast enough he will want to blow away the paper bombs with a wind technique. And thus it would collide with my fire and continue towards him, giving him little or no time to react.

Traps user in an illusion were they first think that they are sucked into he ground to shoulder height and then they see butterflies but they are really paper bombs that explode once the user puts the main seal on the enemies head.
Question - What main seal do I have to put into the enemies head? Does this mean if I use this in mid-range I would have to run up to short range and place a seal?

(Genjutsu: Nehan Shoja No Jutsu) - Illusion Technique: Temple Of Nirvana

This was the genjutsu kabuto used to put everyone in the chuunin exams to sleep right? I believe this jutsu should get edited, because like we saw in the anime, it was able to be release with kai. And in our RP kai only releases up to B-Rank genjutsu, and this technique is A ranked. Another thing is that it seems to have the ability to reach all ranges. So in our RP it would be cool if it could at least be an up to mid range genjutsu.

Strong points
  • Could be used on more than one person at the same time.
Weak points
  • For its range, and being a slow type-genjutsu is very problematic.
  • Requires a hand seal
Combinations-strategies For activation this technique requires the tiger hand seal, so it could possibly be mistaken for a fire style technique. Knowing this, I would probably use this genjutsu and follow it up with a fire-style technique so my opponent has no idea I could have casted the genjutsu. This is a very risky combination because of the range in which this technique can be performed in >_>
