It is a made up currency to promote the movement of goods[graphics, sig work etc.] on the site. In addition, it serves as a reward for posting.

It's use is questionable as many people do good work for free; but, it serves a a measure of thanks. If you offer someone your kumi, you are specifying the value of their work vis-a-vis the porportion of your kumi you are offering.

Also, you have put this in the wrong section. Read all your options about where to put a thread before posting.
